Gameday viewing...

Hooptv just posted that they will not be charging for todays games. So the BU & Illini games will be free.

That feed is AWFUL. Period.

Is that what our feed is like? Choppy and a pain to watch? I'd rather listen to Snell...

Were you watching that web page, I noiced the pop out video link (upper right of the video) had a much, much smoother video....

That choppy video reminded me of the first "streaming" I saw in 1995? (Netscape 1.0 days!). A Cubs game on WGN's website, was actually a static picture refreshed every minute. baseball was still easy to follow that way, though ..

How were the crowds at these places? Was the video feed THAT bad or is it worth checking out? I watched the game on my computer last night, but would rather enjoy it with some family that's in town this weekend.

watching party

Let's have a report from someonewho was at the Braves Club watching party. I am considering that for tonight.

I just called to check, and the girl who picked up the phone said YES, they are planning on playing the game.

I'm just hoping that person knew that its not just on TV! :)

Did the Fieldhouse have the game on?

If anyone saw the game at any of the bars, what was the quality like?

I think the quality would be better on your home computer. I've got a 20" screen and the video was actually better than the Braves feed, it does hiccups for a second or two occasionally but it's still pretty smooth if you just forget about the hiccups.

A friend of mine was at Kouri's, he called me during the game and the feed was worse than what I was viewing at home. He had people join him from BW3's and I think it was just as bad over there. They settled for watching updates of the score on ESPN's running ticker.

Yes. I took mine off the big screen and watched it normal size. It was watchable.
