Interesting that DH/ShSh/DS are all the leaders with JC really close. Love that we're excited about everyone...

Wells is understandably not getting much "love" since he's likely to redshirt. At 7'1 he hopefully has a high ceiling.

Gonna put up a poll in a few days asking who you think (of the five) will get the most minutes freshman year. So start thinking ... :)

I actually picked Wells, mainly because he had a solid senior season and I am desperate for an intense big man who can at least battle with the best in the valley. So I guess call it wishful thinking. I am hoping JP develops into this, then AD two years behind him, etc.

Threloff > anyone that has been mentioned

like I said, overrate size...

Threloff really wasnt that good... I watched him play in high school frequently because his high school was in mine's conference, and its really easy to put up big numbers when you are 5" to 6" taller and bigger than everyone else on the floor...

That's the thought process i was looking for with this. And that's a great reason (similar to why I almost picked him) to be excited about him. Makes sense that with the likely redshirting that he's not on everyones mind quite yet.

Nate needed some votes, too. :)

It is interesting to see the choices spread fairly evenly among 4 incoming freshmen.

Did you watch him up until the end of his senior year? I can find a long list of college coaches who would disagree with you.

I understand that height can make a huge difference in high school, but it doesn't do all the work. Thre average 3.2 assists to go along with his huge point, board, and block numbers. His game, if you're looking at stats, is way ahead of where NW was this year as a senior.

I'd bet Threloff is a major contributor by his junior year; great size, good skill set, and top notch work ethic. I expect him to play at least 15 mpg coming off the bench this season allowing Jackie to play his natural PF position.

This either shows that Geno got a bunch of great recruits whom are all nearly equally talented...... Or, it means we may not have gotten a "difference-maker" recruit.... yet. For the record, I have a feeling Shayok will be the "difference-maker" from this class.

Maybe not a difference maker in there, but they just might all be solid. It is hard to predict what recruits will become, so we will see. We all always get very excited about all the recruits. In all likelihood a couple will become really good, a couple maybe role players if they all stick around for 4 years. I like all 5 of these guys, but I have always been really excited to see what NW will do with his 7'1 height (and possibly still growing I believe I read?). He is kind of a mystery, which is intriguing. He also seems like a really good student and person for the school as well. He just got into basketball a few years ago, so hopefully the coaches will use this year to really get him ready for D1 basketball. I am also excited to see DS since he is the one we have heard the most about as the only recruit that is not really new or mysterious like NW.
