Former Bradley assistant Howard Moore

Howard Moore was home and still undergoing outpatient rehab from the serious car accident 2 months ago that killed his wife and daughter when he recently had what is being reported as a "cardiac arrest". He was again hospitalized, stabilized, and now it is reported that he is being transferred to a long-term care and rehab facility.

U. of Wisconsin, where he was an assistant coach, says he will not be coaching this season (2019-20).

Some Bradley fans will remember Howard Moore. He is from Chicago and played basketball at Wisconsin in the 1990's. He became an assistant coach at UIC, then was hired by Jim Molinari as an assistant at Bradley in 2000. When Molinari was replaced by Jim Les, Howard stayed on at Bradley as an assistant under Les for his first season. I got to know Howard a bit, a terrific guy. He played a big part in recruiting Danny Granger, Joah Tucker, and others.
He went on to have assistant jobs at Ball State, Loyola, and Wisconsin, and was a head coach at UIC for 5 years.
He was severely injured in an accident (see above) in 2019 that killed his wife and daughter.

He has never been able to return to coaching. Wisconsin honored him today prior to their game with Illinois.- https://twitter.com/LukeGambleTV/status/1763988079709212820
