Forget history, MVC teams are the real deal

Funny that the guy uses the name Southwest Missouri State 8 times in the article and never gets the new name correct. But this is a guy who makes his living gambling on basketball games, so he should know what he's talking about.
 
Well, a lot of the sports books in Vegas still use the old name. Actually only saw Mo St in the MGM Mirage properties last weekend.
 
"Doug Elgin, commissioner of the Missouri Valley, believes his conference is as good as any in the country with the exception of the Big East."

This is an interesting quote, considering it was made before the tournament began. What would Elgin say now?

Did anyone else see the interview with Elgin by Lee Hall? I want to say Elgin said something to the fact that teams get 1.2 million per unit ( I assume this means per game) and it is shared by the whole conference being paid over a period of 6 years! If anyone heard this or knows for sure please post......but this seems pretty neat with a total of 8 units under my count so far! :-o
