Flights to Vegas

With the winter weather, it looks like the only flight leaving Peoria tonight is the one to Vegas with the BU team on board. Things have been delayed, but it loks like the flight is going to happen tonight so the team can get out there.

I don"t think anyone is getting out of here tonight and would hope they would wait until morning as the wind gusts make that a very risky flight , better to stay safe.

Hope they didn't go tonight. I hate flying and tonight makes no sense. Anybody no if they're still here or did they leave?

I am on this flight with the team. The incoming flight from Vegas is delayed, but is due to land in a few minutes. Our flight out was scheduled to leave at 8:05, but now rescheduled for 9:40.

Delta cancelled all flights tonight and I would hope that the airport was closed do to the weather, I like to fly yet I would not do so on a night like tonight.

The problem here was more related to the bad weather in Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, and the other cities where the flights originate from to get to Peoria. Those incoming flights were cancelled, thus the flights leaving Peoria were also cancelled. There is actually very little snow here.

Snow would not be the issue to me. 50 mile an hour winds.

I took the dog for a walk. she went to the end of the driveway, turned around and ran to the house.:D

I agree in that snow is not the issue as I have flown before with it snowing, the wind gusts make it it so much more dangerous.

Just ran into Patrick O'Bryant. He and his wife just arrived from Vegas to visit in the Peoria area.

ugh...just got back from picking up my granddaughter, daughter and son-in-law at St. Louis airport....we left there at 6 ......a good 40 plus cars and semis all over the roads and ditches

nice that they got there, but I really don't think an airline would attempt a "risky" flight ever no matter what.... so doubt we would have to worry about them flying when they "shouldn't"
