Final score: UNI 86 Bradley 71

Kingsby had a great game, both on offense and defense doing a great job on Green who he was man to man for much of the game. Other than that, man can UNI shoot, but it never hurts to get some help from the refs, and I am not one that likes to blame the refs when my team loses, but that was just horrible officiating, particularly by the tall bald guy. Henry was almost non-existent thanks to the quick phantom calls on him, so he spent most of his time on the bench, which makes how close this game was throughout even more astounding.

Only at Carver arena can you go into half time with the visiting team having less fouls than the home team, which makes the home streak we had even more amazing considering we don't really get the home court calls that most teams seem to get (at least we didn't today).

On the bright side, it's very difficult to beat the same team 3 times in the same season (as Missouri St. found out last year), so let's hope we stick it to them in the tournament. Now it's time to move on and get ready to win our next game.

Nice turnout today, and looked like the biggest crowd I've seen since Les.

Agreed...... if it’s any consolation, tough to beat a team three times. Trying to find something positive... but that all starts with ISU on Wed. Nice crowd tonight.

Agree, though to beat a team three times .... as I strive for a positive. It all starts Wed with ISU. No inside game....it’s still a puzzle. Coach will figure it out.

I didn’t catch the post game show? Can anyone give me a breakdown and did Coach say anything about the technicals?

Basically he said we didn't guard well tonight, but that he'll make sure that gets corrected by the next game. Also felt Ja'Shon's foul trouble and playing only 16 minutes really hurt us both offensively and defensively. He was pleased they was Danya played.

First off credit to UNI. Ben Jacobson has players who have a style of ball that is tough to defend. And they are extremely physical on defense which makes it tough for us to beat them. This was a game where Eli certainly would have made a difference but we’re just down 3 with 6 1/2 minutes to go without him. We’re right there. But they made 8 of their last 10 shots and we just couldn’t keep up. Our defense needs to get back to what we were doing which is moving our feet and contesting shots consistently. JaShon being in foul trouble didn’t help us either. Just a bummer of a game but I’m sure the guys will put in the work and be ready for the Redbirds coming up I-74 on Wednesday. I’m not going to blame the refs for us losing but I thought they did a bad job in allowing UNI to body up on us which is something we don’t respond well to. They also allowed Green to use his non dribbling arm to push off but the way he does it is so sly it’s tough to call. Now I’m sure there are a few people wondering why I wasn’t in the chat room tonight. It wasn’t for lack of trying as I wasn’t able to get any internet or text to work. I have more trouble in getting on the net at the Civic Center than any place I’ve been. Might be why I feel more down after this loss cause I love to comment and see others comments during the game. It better work on Wednesday.

Obviously agree with everything said about kingsby. That was an outstanding overall performance with great effort. However, I will always disagree with comments about the refs. We need to be better than that. We didn't get much of anything from our seniors tonight. Bar was super soft all night. He couldn't secure the ball, couldn't finish a shot without traveling. Brown just seems off all year. Kennell missed wide open 3's at key moments. If we can get childs back healthy, great effort by kingsby and Henry, 75% of the normal DB, and decent accuracy from our 2 spot up shooters.....we could be dangerous in March

With Elijah out and Gabriel being cut, we certainly have depth issues. Henry getting in foul trouble early was devastating and a major contributor to this loss. Green is a superstar, period. Whenever we would make a run, he had the answer. Tough loss at home, but we need to get healthy. We have little room for error with this small of a roster. I thought DB played his heart out. UNI is a big team, DB battled against guys 6” to 1’ taller than him all night. On to ISU. We need to keep pressure on Loyola and UNI. I don’t see many teams giving UNI trouble and they have the tie-breaker. I think Coach likes the underdog role so this loss will actually be a positive in St. Louis if last night’s match up is a repeat down there.

UNI is a big team,

I didn't notice how big they were until yesterday, and you're right, they are very big! Also, that was a good point made about Brown and I'd really like to see him stop making those circus shots on drives to the basket. If he's going to drive like that, he should have a plan to pass it back out and only take the shot if it's open. Too often, he left his feet and ended up having to do his best to get the ball to the rim and more often than not it wasn't close.

Good fair and accurate article about a very good team. Green is a very special talent. I look forward to playing them again with a healthy Eli Childs.

Agree Patrick... without Childs, Gabriel, and Henry on the bench Bradley couldn't handle the NI bigs. NI hit their outside shots and we forced up too many. With a healthy Childs in St. Louis and more liberal refs- I still think we can beat them. Good to see Danya play well.

I think there's no question that Danya has been playing his best games since he served his 1 game suspension. Message was apparently very well received which doesn't always happen in this day and age. A lot of credit goes to Coach Wardle for making these guys accountable. Way to go Danya and keep it up!
