Final for Thursday 8/13 game- Bradley 84 Araraquara 83

Bradley won with a last second tip in from Taylor Brown.

Looks like the crowd loved Bradley reaction (they??re down by 7 with 1:30 to go).

Really nice victory. Braves just need to win Paulistano to advance to Copa EPTV final.

Congrats, Braves...a close, hard fought win helps us more....
sounds like Will Egolf couldn't go much tonight...but TB is a stud!!

in the words of planaria.......

"Bradley 84 x 83 Lupo/Araraquara, com um tapinha no ??ltimo segundo de Taylor Brown."

a tip-in at the ultimate (last) second from Taylor Brown!

note-- 100 people online presently to catch the results....a great bunch of Bradley fans!!

Looks like Taylor Brown and Sam Maniscalco were the guy tonight. Tomorrow at afternoon, we will have in Draft Brasil an article with a small post-game interview with Jim Les in audio (in english).

Thanks for all the great info guys.... we all know where to come for our Bradley Braves information!

And how cool is this to be getting online to get the BU basketball score in August? We've now had basketball in April and August, possibly the first times BU has played in months that begin with "A".

Great news! Congrats Braves! But that's not encouraging news to hear about Egolf:( . I hope the staff is just being overly cautious.

Holy....

Wow!

Down 7 with 90 secs to go... tip-in at buzzer and win.

The guys gotta feel good with that finish. Way to go!

WOW - TB the star again! I can't wait for the season to start! I would pay some $'s for some bootleg video of all the games down there...someone on the Bu side must be taping???

I believe you are correct.
Bradley played Tulsa on March 31, April 2, and April 4 of 2008 in the CBI.

The latest Bradley had played before 2008 was March 31, 1951 when they lost to Syracuse in the title game of the National Campus Tournament, and March 28, 1950, when they lost in the NCAA championship game to CCNY.

I cannot find that Bradley has ever played in August. They did play 11 games during a 2-week tour of Italy in July of 1985, but they returned before the month of July ended.

Will Egolf did not play at all tonight as a precaution, though his knee was feeling better.
Taylor Brown and Anthony Thompson played most of the minutes at the forward positions. Taylor had a good game, Bobby Parker had him unofficially for 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Anthony did not score much, perhaps because of the bigger size of Araraquara's inside men. Sam singh was felling a lot better, but his minutes were limited because of early foul trouble.

I think Bradley will be OK with their big men when WE has more time to recover and get stronger. But this reinforces my feelings that if any of the freshmen redshirt this season, it will be one or both of the guards and not either of the big men who will be needed to play some.

Coach Les, who never uses officiating as an excuse, said this on Twitter-

So things must have really been bad for him to make such a comment.
