Lol, sure Meta is not good. 4 missed free throws, 2 turnovers and nearly double digit balls that went off his frying pan hands. He also watched several valpo players hit layups in front of him.

Now, I don't think he should be benched, but should play way fewer minutes.

His wrist was hurt tonight, otherwise he is a good FT shooter. He has flaws but is still serviceable. If he didn't have flaws he would be somewhere else, that is the case for any 7 footer in the Valley.

The time has come and gone everyone to get off the bench Meta bandwagon. You have no one on the team who is capable or replacing him. I have said it all year. Whenever Meta has to think about what he’s doing not much good becomes of it. When he’s active and decisive no one in the Valley can stop him. No question the fact that he gets the ball taken away too easily is a problem but can’t do anything about it now. Meta is Meta for good or worse and it’s time to throw your support to him.
 
As far as the game is concerned? Holy shit. How did we win that game. How many times have we said that this season. But at the end of the day however you gotta do it is however you gotta do it. Meta and JJ each had 18, Alex and Montana had 15 and AJ had 12 points and 9 rebounds. JJ also had 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Our zone defense has been bad at times this and tonight is was freakin horrible and why Brian kept switching to it is beyond me. Our 3 point shooting was atrocious as we were just 4-20. Thank goodness Alex came through when he did as he was 3-7 while the rest of the team was 1-13. We were outrebounded by 5 and it seemed like Valpo got to every loose ball. But again we found some way to win. Hopefully the boys get plenty of rest and come out like gang busters tomorrow

Yeah we really should not have won this game. Luck was on our side tonight.

Shooting will have to be much better going forward. Good news the tourney is wide open.

Agree , thing is he has contributed a lot more lately.
 
Meta is a big-game riser, more than anyone else on this roster. He proved this last year in St. Louis, and he proved it again tonight. So tired of the narrative to bench him when Kai yu (who I love) played considerably worse.
 
Hope after playing 2OT that Bradley has enough left in the tank to pull out another win. Am sure they were pretty tired after the game. Am sure coaches got them to wind down back at the hotel, getting rehydrated, proper nutrition, and above all get some sleep.

Which is worse.... Bradley playing a 6:00 pm, 2-overtime game last night that ended at nearly 9:00 pm, or UNI playing their second game in 24 hours, that ended at almost midnight? Playing a 5:00 pm game this afternoon is about 20 hours after Bradley's game ended and about 17 hours after UNI's game ended. It's likely that both teams' play will be affected.
