I am more excited about our program that I have been in the last few years. We have a team that is tough, rebounds, and defends. It is easy for me to get behind a team like this.

I can't wait to see what Ford can do once he adds a true point guard and we get some guys who can hit from the outside.
 
I have been thinking the same thing. This is the first time in about 4 years that it feels like we can win games on the defensive end of the court through tough, tenacious on ball and off ball D.

The past two seasons featured key players who were defensive liabilities. These players are gone now, and there is no question that several other players made huge strides in the off-season - especially Prosser, DSE and Walt.

Several former members of the active fanbase dropped off during our horrific 2010-2011 campaign, and weren't seeing improvement last year...those people need to get to a game and see that this is a different team.

Not that there aren't several weakness and limitations for this year's squad, but the weakness and limitations aren't as severe as the past 2-3 seasons.

I haven't been able to get to many games because of my schedule, but I am excited that we have already matched our win total from last year! Let's get through Vegas and start the Conference Season off right!
 
I dragged up this thread from a year ago - and by now we should have a hundred times more enthusiasm --
I am, as always, enthusiastic as ever......but the crowd Friday nite kinda bums me a little - it just isn't happening...it is gonna take winning.

Let's let things play out, T. A scrimmage on a Friday night with football and baseball siphoning people away, at a building a lot of people won't go to, is not an accurate measuring stick, IMO. No reason we should finish lower than 4th or 5th this year in the MVC. If we are in contention, then we can gauge the crowds at the PCC in Jan/Feb. I hope it's rockin.
 
If we are "IN THE HUNT" Then 10,000 will pack Carver and I cant wait! Undeafeated NON CON will help specialy if we knock off U OF I!


We need to get a home winning streak goin. That also will help, not that weve been bad at home the last 2 but ya know not quite like the old days.

No need to get bummed. Yes I think winning will help get the crowds back but it isn't gonna happen at the Rc. Don't know how long it's gonna take the admin. to get that it isn't gonna happen at the RC but hopefully it will sink in soon.
