Eastern Kentucky Sophomore Mayar Wol Commits to Bradley

Two scholarships open. Back to the drawing board.

Additionally, I have been wondering if Bradley might lose a player with the big schools able to add a player to fill the 15th spot.

Bradley is short across the front line, with the exception of center. Timo is an unknown. Thomas has been sporadic in his performances and Meta needs to cut down on fouls.

A couple quotes from Dave Eminian's article- https://www.pjstar.com/story/sports...ves-transfer-forward-from-roster/84118748007/

Mayar Wol, who joined the Bradley Braves via the NCAA transfer portal in April, has parted ways with the team

"Mayar will not be attending Bradley," Bradley head coach Brian Wardle said. "Both parties have decided to part ways. We wish him nothing but the best in the next chapter of his career."

"As of today, we will not be filling this open scholarship," Wardle said. "We feel very excited and confident in the talented group we have on our current roster."

No further information or reason was given.

Big Mike, I agree with you. I know sometimes it would be nice to have a scholarship in reserve. 13 players on scholarships and two of them not playing in the games. Maybe they don't think there are currently any players that could help,

I guess having an open scholarship isn’t a bad thing. Didnt we pickup Meta mid season? Did we use an open scholarship when we picked him up?

I had been mulling over what Wol's asset would be on the current team and it's hard to find with all the talent already.
Guess I was more excited about our other pickups, including those for 2026.
