Duke a Bubble Team?

Duke has one game left, on the road at NC State.
If Duke loses they will end at .500, 8-8 in the ACC, solid 6th place.
But with an RPI in the top 20, is there any doubt they'll get an NCAA bid?
If they use the RPI to justify a .500 ball club getting in, then how do they justify ignoring the RPI last year and excluding Missouri State?
And can't we use the same argument those pundits used last year against the Valley that the only reason their RPI is high is because they keep playing their own conference mates with high RPI's because they found the way to "break the code"?

The difference is thier SOS which I think is in the top 10 (maybe 5) 20 RPI with top 10 SOS in the best RPI conference and your in. No doubt about it. The only question is what seed they will be IMO

Villanova's the same way. I was just watching SportsCenter, and they put up Nova's tourney resume. They are only 8-7 in conference (20-9) overall, and just 4-7 against the top 50. But they have an RPI of 21, and Van Pelt I think it was said "it's not a question of if they'll get in, but how high their seed will be."
