Saw Donivine play last night in there annual Blue White game. I am convinced he can play major minutes for us next year. He will step right in for SM and we are going to love him. He has really spent some time in the weight room and his outside shot has also improved. He sees the floor extremely well, handles the ball well and is a great passer. His only fault from his last couple of years was his free throw shooting but they did not shoot free throws last night so can't tell if he has improved or not. If you get a chance go see for yourself ,he's worth the price of admission.

From what I've read on Remy Abell and Sean Harris as well as Donivine I am really excited about next year's class. They all seem like guys who can contribute right away! Plus you add a 7'1 kid to the class to develop for later...I'm really liking this class!

Not to mention, a great kid and the hardest working high schooler in Peoria. What he lacks in size he makes up for in toughness. Had he grown to 6'0 he would have been a high major recruit.

Agreed. I think JL does a great job recruitng and now he seems to be getting balanced classes of 3 or 4 four year players. I think this is the path to long-term success, though I don't mind a good JUCO at all, they have done wonders at BU.

He did have a high major scholarship offer to West Virginia (Big East).
But you are right, there would have been a lot more BCS coaches after him if he was a few inches taller. I have heard DS is over on the Bradley campus most days working out with weights or scrimmaging with players, and has done that for years.

Good to here, I think it is really great to have a PG doing this, because he can build some chemistry with the guys an extra year and get use to how they play and what they can do. Very important for the PG spot to know and understand that stuff.

He could have played on an AAU team last summer but chose to workout with the Bradley players all summer since he planned on playing with them in the future, have heard a lot of good things about him.

I heard from a local HS coach out here who believes the AAU circuit is over rated when it comes to development of his players. He said it takes a good month to reprogram them and get them back to fundamentals. It is great for them to get court time but when they put such a premium in scoring it takes away from what he likes to preach and that is a complete game where you play hard on both sides of the ball and make the extra pass on O.

some AAU coaches do a tremendous job of teaching and preparing players..

but apparently not all. It is more of a money making endeavor for some then a program for the kids. I'm not saying it is right or wrong but there are some who take their position with the players to line their pockets.
