As far as job security, it is safe, for now.

But there was a considerable wall of protection built up around JL and now that is gone. That is all I am saying.

The AD that is hired will be one who will be asked to monitor the state of the basketball program.

I wasn't dismissed in terms of not being answered. I didn't mean to imply that. The thought of him being possibly in trouble was dismissed.....especially by you. That's what I meant. Sorry for the confusion.

Those who are regular readers of Bradley Fans have repeatedly seen and testified to the reliability of much of what's posted and offered...thus I think it validates BradleyFans as a legitimate source of useful info.

do you still think present LaSalle head coach John Giannini is in line to get the head coaching spot at DePaul if Wainwright gets canned?
Seems to me DePaul would aim higher than to go after another middle-of-the-pack A-10 guy?

DePaul hasn't "aimed high" since the Meyer era. One of the biggest disintegrations of a national basketball power ever, whether it be in losing its lucrative TV contract with wgn, to signing thugs like Kennedy to ransack what's left of the program, to a marginal Dave Leito, to the now old and tired wainwright, the DePaul administration is chronically inept in ALL of its decisions. I would bet the farm that whatever coach succeeds Wainwright will be the wrong one. And don't even get me started on why they're in the Big East??!!! Can you tell I'm still bitter about what has happened to my childhood favorite team?
