Dave Reynolds -- Jan. 2

Earlier in the season it seemed like a lot of posters were calling on Les to change the style of play, like he changed it after the sweet 16 team. This article make it seems like he has. 2-0, now lets go win one in our house of horrors. Maybe the new arena will be a little nicer to us.

Did anyone see this statement??

"trying to fit a square peg into a round hole like he did in his early years
when he forced Molinari’s players into a run-and-gun approach they weren’t
really suited for because of a lack of size and depth."

so again we have confirmation from yet another source (this makes at least 4 different sources) that the Mo-recruited players had some problem with the offense that JL ran.
That quite possibly this "problem" led to some resistance the players had to running JL's offense, and that they might have been less than 100% willing to.

Either way, kudos to our head coach for doing what's necessary in the face of the unforseen circumstances, like injuries and players leaving to the NBA and getting our team ready to play!

comment on the Wichita guy's reporting.......
Singh did not score with .09 remaining...
which could mean nine sconds or nine hundredths of a second...
Singh scored with 0.9 seconds remaining.

One thing I noted that shows the class of the BU fan base...
after nice wins (one was kind of a blowout - over SIU) I didn't see even one post or comment trashing the Salukis or the Shox.....all were civil and nice,
and yet would we have seen this if SIU or WSU had won. I think the answer is quite obvious if you go to VT or ST boards and see how they trash BU even when they lose to us!!

The article at least confirms Darian Norris was on the bench in Wednesday's game. So, nothing's up with him then, which is good.

Yep! I said after the SIU game that the team began running a more conventional offense that night, instead of the trademark "weave" offense. We did the same against WSU. We just don't have the shooters to pull off the weave this year. I really like this more traditional "feed the post", "slash and dish" offense. We've definately got the guards and forwards who can drive and dish; I think we'll see it the rest of the year.

Oh, and the defense has DEFINATELY stepped it up a notch. It all starts on the defensive end.
