Jay Dee Luster is a highly rated point guard from San Diego - class of 2007. A Creighton insider had told me that Creighton coach Dana Altman really wanted this kid and felt pretty good about landing him. One of the current Creighton freshmen, 6' guard D'Angalo Jackson is reported to have left the team, freeing up the scholarship Altman needed to sign Luster.
However, today he verballed to Reggie Theus and New Mexico State. New Mexico, Washington State, UTEP, and San Diego also offered.

Here is a new story on Luster.
As a junior in high school he AVERAGED 32.8 points, 7.8 assists, 8.3 steals per game!!!!

New Mexico State just landed FIVE-STAR Herb Pope, and the addition of Luster will likely make the Aggies the premier D-I program in the state for years to come, much to the dismay of New Mexico Lobo fans and Lobo coach Ritchie McKay who still seems hell-bent on going after transfers as his primary targets.

(one of their top targets is Reggie Huffman, a Zero Star transfer-recruit with only midmajor interest)
