Reunited with Drew Adams
Feel bad for Hick. You would think Drew would be decent enough to tell him how many studs are in front of him in the rotation. Why leave to get 10 minutes a game? Cincy’s guards torched him and BU in the NIT game. They’re on a different level and they’re all still there. Maybe I’m missing something.
I wonder if Indiana didn't offer him. I mean, what kid grows up in Bloomington dreaming of someday playing in Cincinnati?
This is looking more like he was not happy here last season for whatever reason.
I believe DC said that this was not the case. Moreso Hick wanted to go the Maniscalco route and compete at a P5 level. With Adams there, I always assumed he would go there. I agree however that he's going to have to fight for playing time.
So was this his ultimate goal? Or did he settle? I wonder if he jumped in expecting something else.
You transfer to a school that you won’t start is puzzling to everyone. You leave a team that’s on the verge of the NCAA tournament bid. Hopefully he gets what he wants and it wasn’t a fall back plan. Grass may look greener but doesn’t always make you happier.

Anyone else see the reshare by Burch of Hickman announcing Cincy? By the time I clicked into it, it has disappeared. I won't summarize it because I don't exactly recall what it said but it was very unfriendly. Seemed like he was very upset/hurt that Hickman left. I'm sure Coach made him take it down. Maybe someone else has some insight.
I think we forget that these guys get real close and it's hard for them all as well to lose their friends. This response wasn't exactly excusable, but it's clear he felt hurt and/or betrayed.
