If you look at the recent success of bringing perennial successful lower level coaches in, that should be something they strongly consider.I will be surprised if a top P-5 assistant would take the NIU job
They will look hard at DII guys

Too bad for Jim. It means another move for him, but that is the life of 99% of college basketball coaches. Jim has enough connections and is widely respected as a smart defensive coach, that if he wants to keep coaching, I believe he will get other offers as an assistant somewhere.BC just fired Earl Grant. Jim Molinari was one of his assistants. Jim is 71.
Haha... Jim is a workaholic, but he loves what he does and is dedicated to his job. Maybe he will decide it's time to retire.Shouldn't he consider retirement or will he work until he drops?
Autry was fired after only 3 seasons, and the entire Syracuse staff was fired along with him.Syracuse has fired Red Autrey

A bit surprised. If there was ever a “lifer” coach that would stay at his Alma mater, I figured it would be Casey Alexander. K State is an interesting job. They just fired someone who made the elite 8 what 3 years ago? Always second fiddle to KU.Casey Alexander is going to K State
