Turns out said text was true...



Haven't heard that Taylor wouldn't be back, but kinda figured about Sammy as he can decide at a later time to pick and choose to go anywhere else OR stay here once the new guy comes in...


Now Walt, I guess he established a good relationship with Les, otherwise it doesnt make much sense given his sporadic minutes...




Either way, anyone want to start a list of candidates?

The MVC has regressed the last 5 years and I see zero vision for the future coming from his office. Time to find someone to get The MVC back to where it should be. Is there a decent TV deal on the table? Is there a vision on how to use new media to create a better brand. I'm betting The MVC's brand is at an all time low. For most institutions that would mean a reshuffle at the top.

I don't think it's time to fire Elgin, but he does have a "small conference trying to make it big" mindset when he didn't realize he ALREADY did hit it big.

But really, it's not his fault the top at-large contenders of his conference started to mess up their schedules when they got new coaches.
 
A new coach needs to be decided upon in the next 30 days , as far as players leaving I would think that they would at least meet with the new coach before they determine their fate, S.M. will never be appreciated as much as he is here plus there is a lot of playing time to be had for the ones that decide to stay, hope our guys at least think about things before they make any radical decisions, give the new coach a chance.

They have nothing to lose to wait and see but the new coach better have something to offer.

UH, he better has something to offer US as well or I will be angry for sure...

You know as much as some of us didn't want another year, we do appreciate all the good things Les has done for the university and the program...

Trust me, he will not be forgotten!


That said, we should be able to tell who does the hiring as to who it is that gets the job...and how much they decide to fork over to the next guy
 
I can certainly understand how people would be disappointed, but I can't understand how anyone could be shocked.

As for Taylor Brown, I don't believe there is any way that the university is going to let him play basketball again for Bradley. There is just too much risk to allow for it to happen.
 
Seriously? That will have zero effect. But we will get to watch Sammy play a lot on TV next year. He just won't be wearing a Bradley uniform.

Has he had his heart test yet? I had heard it was postponed until after the season, but without that (unless you have insider info) I don't know how you would make that claim

We all want S.M. to finish out at BU but he has to understand that players cannot decide on who comes and goes as far as a coach, BU was not winning and changes needed to be made, the players should understand more then anyone that if a coach cannot get them to the top then he will be replaced with hopefully one that can , we all wanted Jim to be successful but things did not work out as planned, I guarantee that he was not happy about his wins and losses, he will be fine in the long run.

If his heart checks out alright BU will not stop him from playing, where do some of you come up with this stuff?

It was nice while it lasted but sometimes you just have to move on as does Jim...

He will be fine, and we will be fine...
 
I hope TB is cleared and is allowed to play next year. He is one of the few players that I haven't heard is looking into transferring, but that doesn't mean much.
If he returned, he could be the top scorer and/or rebounder in the league next year.

First I hope Taylor gets cleared just because I want him to be ok and second he is our best player and should look at this as an opportunity to lead this team to the top.
