CBS in Peoria on Sunday?

There's a rumor going around that CBS will be in Peoria showing the Braves' reaction to Selection Sunday. Can anyone verify this?

If you think about it, they should be. Usually all the bubble teams get a reaction from the hometown. If anyone could find any information of if BU is doing something for Selection Sunday or not- I'd love to know.

I don't know abot CBS but I received an invite to a NCAA Pairings Party from the Chiefs Club and Peoria area sports commision at the Holoday Inn City Centre 4-7 $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Food beer and soda on them.

10 -15$.....means the food and beer is on you  but it IS a great deal AND alot of fun.

Anyone remember how quickly we were choosen last time. hadn't even settled into our seats and BAM. BU vs Stanford......Mo was a great interview and Stanford coached whined about location.

Lee Hall said so last night on the 10:00 news so I thought everyone knew? :?

I was waiting for someone to break it, but no one did. I got it confirmed from WTVP and the athletic department. The only thing in question now is where they'll be... ;)

i think the student center or fieldhouse would be good places.

I still don't see why they wouldn't be at the Holiday inn.....if its good news leave your private room and join your fanbase for a rousing welcome. IF we don't make it, slip out the back door....

They should leave from the front door regardless. This team has played exceptional basketball the last 2 months and with a defensive effort that we all should stand proud of.

BTW....They are in the dance. :D

Good point....I was just thinking they might want to "grieve" alone. Wasn't suggesting they would have anything to feel shamful for.....

AND...I hope you are correct sir

Point taken.... Sir :?: :-o

It's just great to see this team start to reach the potential that we all new was there. I just hope that the students at BU now get to have the same enjoyment I had while I attended. We had a great run in the 80's and I hope our B-ball tradition continues.

Speaking of CBS...was there different coverage in different parts of the country on Sunday?

I live in the South, and was taping the championship game while I was in St. Louis for the weekend. When I returned to watch, there was already fewer than 11:00 remaining in the first half by the time they threw it to Savvis. Then they dumped out of it when the score was 50-38.

Did anyone else run into this?

Yeah.

In Chicago they showed the entire Villanova game, and then went to St. Louis with about 11 minutes left in the first half.

They did stay with the entire game though.

I know down in St. louis they were showing the Florida game before the MVC championship.
