Here is some good news for schools like Bradley that would like a chance to play in the CBI tournament-- there are now some teams making it public that they have no interest in playing in the CBI--

Note that it appears from that article, that the Gazelle Group, the corporation behind the CBI, is requiring teams that wish to host games in the CBI to guarantee $60,000 in gate receipts. There are not many teams that could afford to do that. It would appear to take a home crowd of 6,000-7,000+ to generate that kind of gate revenues. Maybe this is good for BU, also.

Here is another article that mentions the $60,000 guarantee to host a game. It also says the CBI has had talks with Auburn, which lost in the first round of the SEC tournament for their 11th loss in their last 13 games to finish 14-16. And they still think they have a chance at the CBI?

According to what is there now I have found some matchups for some to chew on based upon 2 criteria...the 1st set is based primarily on gathering the most money via home teams if thats the way they want to do it, and the 2nd is a split between giving teams who draw home games along w/ a 1-16 seeding on basis of record, RPI, and SOS formula....so here they are:

Very encouraging. Maybe we'll here if Bradley is in the CBI by this time tomorrow.

Then again, hearing that teams like Auburn are under consideration is a bit troublesome. It could be an interesting mix of teams in this tournament!

Yes, but with all of the bubble losers today (Dayton, Texas Tech, Baylor, Villanova, UAB and Houston amongst others), ISU's chances for the NCAA Tournament look a lot better today than they did yesterday.
