Caitlin Clark

Idk, I've only heard of two WNBA players, ever. Candace Parker because she could dunk and I knew who her brother was of course, and Brittany Griner for her Russia issues. I think it is debatable on what is higher profile, University of Iowa and a perennial NCAA title contender, or another good player in the WNBA. I think being in the NCAA might actually be a higher profile, especially if she is already getting shoe deals etc. Instagram/influencer income is also probably greater.

Really? only 2? I've honestly never watched a full WNBA game or even more than 5 minutes of a game at a time, but I bet I could name at least 20 WNBA players just from hearing names watching other sports. Now as far as what they make/earnings are I have no idea. Not poking fun at you at all Stryker, that just struck me as funny, only 2 players EVER. ha ha

I don't know if I could name more than two active players, I think everyone I knew of is retired now.

Oh no, probably not her whole game, but more her shot is what I was referring too. I think that shot release would play. It is very quick if she was open at all as a spot up shooter.

She is an awesome women's college basketball player. Maybe the greatest of all-time. The Pete Maravich of women's college basketball. That said, I just don't think the women's game transfers to the men's game at any level.

a little off topic from Bradley basketball....

but this article says Caitlin Clark may bring in an extra $1 BILLION to the WNBA this year with game revenue, advertising, etc..
..at the same time NBA ratings and revenue are slipping as three of the smallest market teams (OKC, Minnesota, Pacers)
are battling for the NBA Finals

Here's another remote Caitlin Clark/Bradey University connection....

Tonight, Caitlin's team the Indiana Fever is playing the Washington Mystics. When they showed the head coach of the Mystics, I
instantly recognized him - Sydney Johnson. Johnson is a long time DI Men's head coach (Princeton, Fairfield, Air Force)....

and in 2011 when Bradley (Glasser) was hiring a head coach, Sydney Johnson was one of the top available candidates.
There was even a mention in a column in the PJStar.

But apparently he declined or had no interest - too bad, he'd have been better than what we settled for.

anyway, there were a lot of Bradley people that liked the idea- LINK

He was one of many candidates that turned down the job in 2011, despite being offered a sizeable increase in pay.
