oilerpimp said:Scout lists a 6'7", 215lb PF from Monroe college. A JUCO. I haven't seen him until recently. He lists Bradley along with some east coast mids. His name is Matt Salley. Anybody know of this guy or Bradley's intrest? Scout has him at 3 stars. I don't remember seeing him mentioned on this board before. If he has I apologize.
oilerpimp said:Thanks for the correction and info DC.
This guy sounds as if he wouldn't just be a "warm" body. Of course, I'm going off the star system and I don't know how much stock can be put into that. Heck, they had Sykes at 1 star.

tornado said:Another new article discusses a recruit and lists Bradley among his schools considered.
Of interest, is that Bradley is listed right among the big boys:
Illinois, Wisconsin, Stanford, St. Mary's, New Mexico, Texas A&M, Northern Arizona, Washington State, Idaho.
The player is the son of former Illini player, Eddie Johnson,
Justin Johnson.
"Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy 6-foot-7, 190-pound shooting guard Justin Johnson is quickly moving up the charts for the class of 2007. A late-bloomer with respect to his game, Johnson's bloodlines indicated long ago that he would be a player of high caliber by the time he finished high school and entered the college world of basketball.
He should be closing in on 6-foot-8 and weigh over 210 by the middle of next season, according to his father, NBA great Eddie Johnson.
The thing that has gotten attention for him is his ability to score without dominating the ball and doing it with a mid-range game that has been abandoned by many players for the past several years. Coaches comment on his athleticism, wingspan and his willingness to play defense."

The only problem is that the kid's AAU coach is Larry Butler, who virtually rules the Chicago-area AAU circuit. .
If your source is right, I can't wait to watch those ILLINOIS-INDIANA games, they will be wars. I think Gordon will go to Illinois, but we'll have to wait and see.Da Coach said:My sources tell me he will go to Indiana. He is their top point guard target and will play a lot as a freshman.
My source at Indiana also assures me that another class of 2007 prep star from Indiana, Eric Gordon, will also end up at Indiana.

In a recent interview he listed the following as his choices:

But in a separate article, they say his recent play have him moving up and looking more like a high major prospect.
"Jeff Teague, PG, Spiece ???‚¬??? One college coach appropriately referred to him as ???‚¬?“the dominant player on the court.???‚¬?? Exactly. There seems to come a time in each game where he feels that his squad needs a boost and he goes out and makes a play. The guy is a unique lead guard who can push tempo and score. He???‚¬?„?s had a helluva summer."
