Well maybe it's a ploy to get MSU to pony up 3-4mil per year like they get in the pros. If not Izzo get 3-4 per year in a 5 year deal and if it doesn't work he goes back to college for 1-2 per year.I guess I don't see much of a downside

If he's using it as leverage to get a better deal at MSU, I totally understand. But if he's really contemplating a move to the NBA, he should take a long look at how other college coaches have recently done in the NBA.

why look at the other coaches?

Again what is the downside? Izzo can coach college anytime he wants if it didn't work in the pros.....only he would have more$$$$ in his pocket when doing so
