Bulls get #1

I really think Beasley will be a super star and Rose will be good, probably an All Star but not as good. I'd take Beasley but than again Rose is a hometown guy! Not a bad place to be.

Bulls need a low post presence that is Michael Beasley. I will never be sold on Hinrich as a one, but he is serviceable, especially with someone like Beasley, the Bulls need a scorer who is athletic, physical and can give them something from the block.

I dont think they though could go wrong with Rose either, point guards dominate the ball in the NBA and with the no hand checking he could be even more effective then Parker, Paul or Nash. Then again a point guard like Rose will make Deng, Gordon, Gooden, Noah everyone on that roster that much better. If Paul can make Chandler look good imagine what Rose can do.

This is really a difficult decision. Beasley is a great player, but Rose is the type of player that is making a huge impact throughout the NBA, big guards who can dominate the play. Rose should be the choice, but it would not surprise me in the least to see it being Beasley.

As long as it isnt some European, Im good with either player.

Beasley

Beasley

I'd take Beasley. He would be a go to guy when the game is on the line. He and Deng at forwards and you may be able to get by with no scoring from Noah in the middle. It's a close call though. Rose is great also and I'm starting to grow tired of Hinrich. I think either one would help, but I'd prefer Beasley. Maybe they can deal one of the guards (Hinrich, Gordon, Sefalosa, or Hughes) If they could get a little more size in the backcourt to go with Beasley and Deng they would have a pretty fair team again.

I think they should take Rose. Have Gordon off the bench as a role-player. Hinrich just isn't good enough in this league, and the Bulls need a great point guard. Look most of the teams in the playoffs. They all have great SGs & PGs. Hornets, Spurs, Jazz, Lakers, Celtics, etc. Some of their inside players aren't quite as good. I'd take Rose, a team can always buy an inside presence.

Have to take Beasley. He's a clear beast on both ends of the floor. Virtually every stat category is higher than Rose. He almost reminds me of a young Carmello Anthony.

Jason

How bad do you think D'Antoni wants to punch himself in the face after passing on a chance to coach Hinrich, Gordon, Hughes, Sefolosha, Deng, Thomas, Noah, and either Rose or Beasley?......imagine that lineup in D'Antoni's system. As a long time Suns fan, I don't mind sitting back and watching D'Antoni spend his extra money in New York bailing his big, slow, crazy squad out of jail.

Derrick Rose will be a Bull. Book it.

I think so too. Though you never know, I mean has Rose really proven he is any good? Will he be able to cut it on an NBA level? Lets pull up his shooting stats and maybe his assist to turnover ratio at Memphis to clarify weather he is even as good as the best guards in the Valley. I mean who could have guessed Rose would be any good? WOW

Instead of gracefully claiming you knew all along how great DR is and how happy you are to see he could be the #1 pick.... you'd rather take the sarcastic approach with an underlying attack on your doubters.... I kinda like it... it is very schadenfreude-like.

Lakeview Brave rules! :) I also agree that Rose will be a Bull.........and I think a better pro than Beasley.

I actually feel just the opposite. And even if both are absolute studs, I still think the Bulls should take Rose because the best PG's in the League are in the West, so the Bulls would have a leg up on all the other competition in the Eastern Conference. Neither one alone will get the Bulls to a championship, but I think Rose would get them closer regardless of the inside presence issue. The Celtics, Pistons, and Cavs all have major advantages over the Bulls and I don't think Beasley changes the game against those teams as much as a quality PG would.

Some of the decision might hinge on who they hire as head coach, but I would be surprised if they don't take Rose.

I read that the Denver Nuggets might be interested in trading Carmelo Anthony for the #1 pick. I suspect the Bulls will have a lot of offers.
A trade might be the best way to rid themselves of some of their overpaid, underproductive players like Larry Hughes, and Kirk Hinrich.
