BU vs ISU postgame

Huh? How did we shoot "well" when we only scored 50 points this game? If we are up by 5, that "ridiculous game changing foul" on DSE would not be a game changing foul. It would just be a bad foul that did not decide the outcome of the game.

If BU has the same offensive output they had the last four or five games, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

No disagreement about offense or how we played. I just can't believe in both games vs isu we had the kind of stupid gane changing calls you just don't see in d1 games. I know "the factions" want to align my posts with one or the other... But I'm just talking about that call at that time. It was ridiculous.

Post after post about lack of BU student involvement. ISU beats hated rival in come-from-behind, one-point victory, students storm the court and they are *****s. DISCONNECT!

Forget that it was a meaningless game between the 9th and 10th place teams. If it was THAT meaningless, why woud they even be there?

If I remember correctly BU students showed up pretty well for the home game against ISU. Both teams have had poor turn outs all year for most of their games.

JW-Refs-Zone

JW-Refs-Zone

I'm a 25 year season ticket holder at BU and wife is a 15 year season ticket holder at ISU -- we see alot of basketball -- bad basketball this year.

Here's my take:
Refs --Those three refs are three of the top guys that we get at the game -- you'll see them all deep into the NCAA and big conferences -- Big 10.. Sure there's a couple calls here or there but it goes both ways.

JW -- good 3pt shot when open -- didn't see it tonight because they had him posting up JE often. That's probably not his game -- but imo, he's too slow to make his own shot. But when he's open -- he'll knock em down. BU didn't lose anything by him going to ISU.

Zone -- Did we play any zone? ISU went 7 minutes without scoring at the end of Indiana State at home. I would have thought we would have laid on the zone late in the game since ISU has proven they can't shoot and it would have surprised them. I know hindsight is 20-20 but driving against a zone is pretty difficult -- I do understand we held them to 51 but 2 points would have made the difference.

The choice to not play a zone is the biggest factor in not getting the win -- again IMO. But remember, I've seen both teams play 15 times.

Opinions about the lack of a Zone?

What is the world will Wessler have to say tomorrow. I know I know most on here hate him and believe he has no credibility which is fine, but it should be interesting

"These were two bad men??™s college basketball teams playing a bad game that was badly officiated."

Well said!! +1

NO! Absolutely not! No 9th place team in ANY conference should be storming the court for this. Pathetic!

not only 9th but no team should ever storm the court against the last team in the confrence unless someone hits a half court shot to send it to ot and to win the game

FWIW I voted agianst the rush, but what happened happened.
Maybe I would feel different if I was a senior.

Unsung hero was Justin Clark; huge defensive performance against AW.

It's also a very bittersweet day at ISU... As t predicted, Wilkins is looking to transfer. His 4 points in the post was too much for his liking. He wants to find a school that will never put him in harm's way in the paint...:(

Just got back from watching the doubleheader (Illini & Braves) at a friends house. An apropos ending I guess, if that's the right word for the way the season has gone. I thought it was a good game...up until the last nine seconds. The guy that made the last layup for ISU took 3 obvious steps, it was obviously traveling  I guess they don't call them that late unless of course...Oh well, another one we could have won. I hope the team stays together and we get 2 back and the new guys! Go Braves, we've still got a few left to play :) In my wildest dreams, I never dreamed of this season.

Just watched DVR after being at the game.

Just watched DVR after being at the game.

The "questionable calls at the game" looked like pretty fair calls on TV -- there was one call on a tip-out with Warren at about 3 minutes that was questionable. Come on Bradley Fans! I've seen ISU Fans whine about the refs for years (i.e. they're all out to get us). Let's not be like them. JE was calling for a travel immediately after Hill made the last shot -- and he was still calling it into the time out. I'd rather have my players worrying about their next offensive/defensive moves not the last official's call.

Take a look at the video for the last 5 minutes. Our players need to move their feet -- we gave up too many baselines and Hill basically juked those final points in. He did make them but our talent in staying with him isn't there.

Our players are trying -- no question -- we just don't have the talent right now to keep up.

Thanks to the Seniors! AW -- rough nite but great career!

I watched the dvr several times over. The call on dse was total bunk... Particularly with what was going on for the entire rest of the game. Alex rubin would have fouled out in two minutes if they called him for what they called dse for. The penetration they allowed hill on final drive was bradley's fault, not the refs. Looked a but travelly to me but the braves only needed to force him to pick up the ball and maybe were having a different conversation.

Speak for yourself. I can handle the truth obiviously you can't. What KW needs to say about our Braves can't be printed in a family newspaper.

I failed to see how the refs favored ISU...

What I did see is that we could not make shots. Neither did ISU, but they haven't all year. We lost because we couldn't shoot straight...period.

Exactly...I am sick and tired of all the whiners we have blaming the refs every time we lose to ISU--the refs did not favor ISU--we were just bad-period. ISU is a very bad offensive basketball team this year, and they beat us twice (again:mad:) Nuff said.

And again......THAT'S their team! I could be wrong, but I don't believe they are missing anyone. People think JL hasn't done a good job assembling talent.....just be glad we don't have Jank!
