Danyy Ruffin for president! This is the best game I've seen him play....24 pts..7 asst and 6 steals! I'm to excited to remember the score but BU wins by 11! 67-56 in a game that never seemed in danger! TW was also very key in this game with a few key 3's from JC........Great Win.......the announcers from CSTV have moved DR up toi the #4 pg in the country after the game!
 
Can you believe how much quicker the Braves are than the teams from iowa st. and iowa?:cool: This sets up a chance to sweep the state of iowa now with the 2 big boys already in the L' column!:lol:
 
But at least 10 of those turnovers were guys on BU who dropped the ball just as DRuff gave them a perfect pass for an open shot...so we need to improve on that, and if we do, DRuff gets at least a dozen assists.

I watched the game at East Peoria's Buffalo Wild Wings with about 30 BU fanes and about 10 Iowa fans very vocal at every turn of the game.

Here are some stats.........

BU wins 67-56, Ruffin 24 points, 7 assists.
Crouch 14 pts, Theron Wilson 8 pts and 11 rebs.
 
The two announcers were boneheads...
For long, long stretches they talked about worhtless topics and silly things as if there was no game going on.
I wish they had Dave Snell piped into the Buffalo Wild Wings!!

By the way, I handed out a lot of BradleyFans.com cards to people who were cheering for BU
so maybe there'll be a few new guys signing up tonight ....
 
Great game by the Braves. TO's were improved with this game. Ruffin was amazing.

Hopefully we can win the tournament tomorrow. We've got to have a slight advantage in that our game ended earlier and someone can scout the next game.
 
O&B just called and could barely talk. They are having a great time except for the weather. He said Dr. Glasser was there but has to return in the morning for the soccer match. Go Braves.
 
There were a dozen of us and very vocal on the chat watching the game from various feeds.

I'd like to of seen Collins play more and Warren be more agressive and slash in to the basket a bit. We should be able to kill a zone and I'm sure we will once JC starts lighting it up again.

Ruff had a great game, JC came on when needed and TW came out of know where!

BTW... I like Pete Gillian....He was very well prepared and knew both teams real well.
 
I thought the announcers were fairly good. They gave great props to the Valley and how well Ruffin plays. Mentioning that it's rare for BCS schools to schedule games with Bradley and mid majors in general. That's the most i've ever heard announcers on a "national" broadcast per say, speak so much of the valley and Bradley during the game. Need more of this on the ESPN broadcasts.

I just wanna add... don't anybody tip off my wife about hiding the scissors when UIUC plays Iowa. I'd much rather stab my eyes out than watch those two puke at each other - that will be one ugly hoops game (and I am sure ESPN will be covering it).
 
I agree about the announcers......there was NO big 11 bias for this game by them and they gave a lot of props to the Valley IMO! Good Job!:wink:
