BU/UNI Game Thread

Would have been nice to see AW on a good or even average team his Senior year....

Just too bad he has zero shot at PoY honors...

Btw in case anyone is interested...there's a gold out going on ESPNU but no one is cheering because Missouri State is up by 13!

Yeah, I'm sure the young men would appreciate that.

Oh, trust me, it's not directed at the young men..... Oh, and how do you think the young Miami players took it when no one even had the desire to show up for their games anymore? I'd rather the fans be there to show they're there with a bag over their head than to go completely apathetic and not show up at all. It's a new thing this consistently losing to these kids.

Is it?

I've gotten used to losing half our conference games every year...so it can't be too new!

Tale of 2 halves, how can a team play so bad one half and then so good the other, had we stayed close in the 1st half we could have won this game, someone please look at the tapes as we ran a terrible one on one offense in the 1st half and then a good team one in the 2nd half, Egolf had a good game but could have been the difference maker if he could just stay in the game, probably scores 6 more points and gets another 4 rebounds.

It's shows the young men that you're ashamed of them, intended or not. We are Bradley fans, not Miami fans.

@ St. Lou: At least we've won one or two by this point in the season, so comparatively, yes! haha

@ Bravesfan: They were about 15 minutes away from me actually doing that! The last 15-20 minutes showed me they really do want to win and have the ability, even being down two guys late. Gonna miss sticks in the next game, though.

What/Who seems to be the common denominator in all of this??

I'll let this be a rhetorical...

I'm not ashamed of them. I can't be ashamed of a team that put up such a great effort, a team with WE scoring a career high and AW with what, 27 or 30 AGAIN? I am ASHAMED of the BU athletics dept. for holding on to JL for this long. Yes, he's an alum, Yes, he did the great sweet 16 thing that we still talk about today. But look, NO conference titles, NO Tournament Championships (Valley or otherwise), and NO better than a fourth place finish in 8 years as head coach. He was a great player and is a great guy, but until we get rid of him, I really don't think BU can take it up to the next level. Yes, I'm ashamed... of JL and the administration. Our boys are GREAT!

How are they supposed to take it if someone, and I know you were kidding or at least hope so, would show up like that. Would they say "look they're mad at our coach." I doubt it.

+1

This chapter of the BU saga will play out...maybe not on our timeline, but it will play out. No chance at anything seriously changing during the season for the good even with a new or interim coach...

Show up, cheer, enjoy the music and cheerleaders, and have a hot dog/beer...and rejoice you don't live in Bloomington-Nomal!

October 2011 is only 9.5 months away!

I will be there supporting the guys on the court for the effort tonight.....this is my team...I'll will still support it that way!

I think most of us that really know the game realize where the problem lies, hopefully he will eventually believe that our offense can out score an opponent and this game is not based on defense alone plus the fans like to see a higher scoring game.

Hmm, point well taken. Maybe if I wrote on the bag.....haha

Should we expect any different?!

Just look at how they've managed to screw up the media guide and the tournament ticket process under new guidance...

Much needs to be done to fix the Athletic Dept!
