BU softball wins MVC tourney.....heads to NCAA

The Bradley softball team won their last 5 regular season games to make the MVC playoffs. Now they have won a total of 8 straight, as they beat #7 seeded Missouri State Thursday afternoon, then #3 seeded UNI Thursday night, and today they beat #2 seeded SIU 5-3 in the semifinal game to advance to the championship game tomorrow against #1 seeded Creighton.

Soccer did it a couple years ago. Other than that, I can't remember. Men's basketball 1988?
 
Yes the game is on TV but it's a beautiful Saturday and the game is in ... East Peoria. I hope they have a great crowd supporting the Braves.

Did I hear the announcer right? The Braves pitcher (Birdsong) has gone 64 straight innings for a 9 game win streak! :o
 
I haven't watched a girl's softball game in many, many years. Watched the last 3 innings today. Was really impressed by the defense both teams played. Congrats and good luck in the big dance.
