A new name has emerged as a potential 2009 recruit-- Eric Bledsoe
He is a 6'0", 160 pound point guard from Birmingham, Alabama, Parker High School.
He is a 4-star recruit with interest from a number of high-major schools, including Alabama, UAB, Baylor, Florida, Memphis, USF, Washington State, & Mississippi.

He playes with the Birmingham Ice AAU team.

Eric Bledsoe is "blowing up" and getting a lot of interest from big schools.
Word is he might land at Mississippi or Alabama.

Revisiting Eric Bledsoe-
He did commit to Mississippi back in October, 2008, but then decommitted shortly after that.

In late October, he was listed as one of the best 5 remianing point guards for 2009, but Bradley wasn't listed then.--

He was rated as the #67 player in Rivals Top 150 players for 2009.

I have heard that Bradley may still be involved.http://www.daily-chronicle.com/articles/2008/11/30/sports/preps/doc493245d6e2bbf483320851.txt

Eric Bledsoe has zoomed off the charts as far as recruiting goes....

now all the top schools, Kentucky, Florida, Duke...are all after him...
I suspect Bradley is in the background...

Don't be surprised to see Bledsoe land at Cincinnati.

He was very interested in Kentucky, but with them recruiting both Wall and Henry, he skipped his visit to UK and went to UC.

Bledsoe is the type of kid that wants to go somewhere that he's going to be wanted and needed, and needless to say, UC put the "full court press" on him when he visited. Bledsoe left very happy and impressed.

Florida doesn't look like a likely place because of Kenny Boynton coming in. Duke and UK are really hurting themselves right now with their "wait and see" approach with John Wall and Xavier Henry. I'd be very surprised if he landed at either of those schools.

Eric Bledsoe had a very productive night getting the start for Kentucky with John Wall serving a two game suspension.

24pts, 7 rebs, 4 ast, 2 blks, and 1 steal. In the opening game win over Morehead State.
