BU falls again

Yep...that just means they WILL come to play Saturday. It will take an enormous effort for BU to win...even at home.

It shouldn't take an 'enormous effort' to win a home game against Missouri State...
If we play decent and don't have another 2nd half disaster we should win this game...

We need to play our best home game of the year thus far to win IMO....MSU is the best team we have played at home so far, and we are yet to win a home game by over 6 points except against one of the worst teams in all of D-1...Presbyterian. Our best 40 minute efforts all season have all been away from home. I can almost guarantee that we will be underdogs on the Vegas line...

Great defensive effort by the Braves. We almost knocked off the #26 team in the country (who were aided a bit by the refs) and just missed. This is a loss we can build on because we proved we can play good D against a good team.

I hope this team holds their heads high and are ready for revenge vs MSU on Saturday!
PTF I didn't see the game, only heard it on 1470 and I'm not disagreeing if the refs were bad or not but they did NOT cause us to lose the game. WE HAD 20 TURNOVERS thats what cost us the game. If we cut those turnovers to 14 and shoot 50% on those 6 less we would have won by 4 points. I would be embarassed to say the refs cost us the game when we turn the ball over like we did. I agree with you that we did give a great effort on the defensive end. Hopefully we can build on it Sat. night.

Just keep chanting...

New facilities, new facilities, next year, next year

And then think of kittens.. and all will be ok

Warren had a tough shooting night and had a couple of bad turnovers, but his D was good and he pulled down some boards. I'm pretty sure he got doubled any time he touched the ball. Not a big night for him, but neither did he contribute nothing. TB DID have a down game.

Egolf is the one I just don't get. Guy had 9 first half rebounds. I think he probably scored in double digits so may have had a double double. He also kept eglseder in check most of the night. He did have two bad fouls (though one was because he had to help SM who got beat). He played hard and put up numbers so I'm not seeing the "awful" here.

are you kidding? he threw at least three outlet passes to the other team, for starters, then he missed three layups in a row in one possession! Then he couldn't hit a three foot shot in the lane right after that. What game were you watching? without checking the box, I'm guessing he had at least 5 turnovers, probably more.

I got it, but it still came across like you were nitpicking just on tonight's game when this was one of the best efforts this team has put forth this season. I know we need to see some wins now, but I hope that this effort is duplicated on Saturday and beyond.

Sure we gave up 6 points at the start of the second half, but it wasn't 10, and unlike other games, we composed ourselves very quickly. I don't think that was the big difference in the game since we made a run, but we can withstand a quick 5 points over a 15 point lead collapse any day.

Sorry if I came across in the wrong way, but unlike other times, we overcame and limited our second half collapse. If we keep up the effort we saw tonight, we win on Saturday.

Six points is six points friend, that we still had to over come:!: I stand by what I pointed out:!: This team comes out of that locker room for what ever reason and lets the other team have a run of points, every game. I think we would/could agree this does nothing to help us close out a game. Just adds to our second half challenges. This needs to stop:!: Pretty simple facts and it makes sense to me:roll: Nowhere nitpicking:!: By the way, which I never do:!: If anyone was, well :) Your apology is excepted:)

That tip in by Dyricus that was waved off from the Leprechaun standing on the opposite side of the floor near half court didn't help...We were down 3 and he would've been at the line to tie the game or w/o a whistle at all we would've been down only one...

One of the worst calls I've seen all year to be honest!

You have GOT to be kidding me! What game were you watching tonight?!

Lost another close winnable game and had no time outs at the end...Jacobson directed his team at the end with the fouls to win and we dont even get a shot off? Thats the game I watched. Granted, the effort (especially on D and on the boards) was there, this team doesn't have the confidence to close games out since the big one against Ill.

I do not know if it is confidence, or fundamentals, or whatever. Bottom line, the team needs to figure it out and overcome that deficiency.

Some criticize him for not taking enough time outs, others for taking too many. He can't win. I will say that he took another one last night after we made a big three, and I need someone to explain to me why we need a timeout when we have momentum. Maybe there is a good reason.

Agreed! The timeouts when we're starting to make runs need to stop! We are the ONLY team that does this...

Whoever taught him to do this needs to be taken out back and shot...

If I remember right that one was at about 17 min. of the second half too. Was trying to figure that one out myself.
On a crushing personal note, I made a 5 dollar long shot parlay with Ohio St. and Bradley winning straight up and Kentucky thrown in for good measure. Needless to say this game stings a little more when you're a basket away from turning 5 dollars into nearly 400.
