BU falls again

A very strong defensive effort by BU...I didn't think they had it in them. horrible 2 calls by refs last 2 minutes, especially on DSE, just inexplicable how you can call a foul there. If only BU could play with that effort every night. unfortunately, a 2 point loss counts the same as a 20 point loss. Our season rests with Saturday, particularly since MSU lost to Drake. A split with MSU really affects our chances of moving out of the abyss of Thursday night

Same here, though it's admittedly easier to take if we lose by 5 rather than by 2. But I have more confidence that this team will still be able to do some good things before the end of the season. Our schedule gets somewhat easier, so we'll see what happens.

Nice effort as a team, DSE needs to be on the floor much more and there are others (our self proclaimed leader) who seem to disappear in a tight game maybe they should give up some time for DSE!

NO ONE is ok with losing, NO ONE...but are we allowed to be optimistic??

Why can't we look at the positives, the things we did well? We outrebounded the best frontcourt in the MVC. We played great D from start to finish...heck, their "game winning" shot was practically double-teamed.

There were some good things I (and most in the chat room) saw in this game that we haven't seen in a while, and I for one am feeling the best I have about this team in a while.

That's the most frustrating thing about this season. Not the talent, not the coaching, not tonight's loss, but the consistency. I'm not saying the players don't want to win, but they still need to learn that there is no such thing as an off night in this league.

I think though, tonight they learned a lot about themselves and good things are just around the corner! :)

No, that means we're drinking the kool-aid and defend JL when we shouldn't. ;) Ya know, if we're positive.
 
unfortunately, Warren played his Houdini act tonight (similar to his soph year)and Brown joined in as well. Egolf also had his worst game as a brave...truly awful. It would be nice if all 5 starters showed up consistently.

So am I. We play like this on Saturday, and we win against MSU. And if we play like this the rest of the way, we can still win most if not all of our home games this year which would add greatly to our win total.

But first things first. Let's beat MSU Saturday! :D

Wrong game...the effort was good for 40 minutes. At what point was the effort not there?

The execution however was lacking in stretches, but that happens to nearly every team, every game in a defensive battle.

We are consistent only in our inconsistencies really.

The effort tonight, plus being at home might get us one Saturday

And UNI doesn't give up all those points at the end of the first half and they win by 10. So what's your point?! :rolleyes:
