hate to be the first to bring this up but....
Gabriel's team, Hillcrest Prep, has already been playing several games and Gabriel is not mentioned in any of the reports....
and due to the high profiles & rankings of all their players, they are getting good coverage...
...Injured, transferred, or out for some other reason?
There is a Hillcrest North and a Hillcrest South. One is the Prep team and the other is the High School team. I believe the guys you mentioned are not on the same team as Stephan. He is playing.
As we suspected, Stephan Gabriel has left Hillcrest Prep and transferred to a new prep school Veritas Basketball Academy located in Santa Fe Springs, California, a suburb of Los Angeles-

There were a couple reasons for transfer, but they were personal issues Stephan had with Hillcrest, so I won't mention them here, though they do not have anything to do with him wavering on his commitment.
His new team, Veritas, is one of the highest ranked prep schools in the country. This prep school service ranks them #9 in the country-

Stephan Gabriel played last night for the first time with his new team, and tied for the lead in scoring with 21 points-

They play again today at 4 PM PST (6 PM CST)-

And note that Santa Fe Springs, California is a suburb of Los Angeles, though they travel all over the country to compete against the best prep schools-

Veritas actually beat Hillcrest North (the team Stephan Gabriel previously played for) in a game that was played October 28.
Ironically, that happened to be
the day after Stephan Gabriel left the Hillcrest program.

Veritas also has several highly rated D1 recruits in their program, so it is nice to see Stephan excelling despite playing with kids who will be headed to high-major programs.
The Bradley coaches expect to receive a signed National Letter of Intent (NLI) from Stephan!
