Bu 75 wsu 73!

Right. Everyone in the joint knew WSU was going to come back. I don't know why anyone would expect anything different after watching this season. It has been flat-out amazing. I think the players even knew. But, they found a way to win and I am going to enjoy it.

To the nellies, you have my condolences on the victory.

Keep your condolences to yourself, Delusional Danny.

Yeah, JL did pull SM, and I am guessing because of the injury...but there was a moment where we went from up 10 to only 4 and SM came back in. We are just not that deep, plain and simple.

Nice win tonight and another roller coaster ride... i'll choose to celebrate the WIN! :) I think the WSU press for most of the game wore us down in the second half therefore I wasn't surprised that the game was close at the end. Love to see DSE come through with that clutch 3.

Did anyone notice a move Gregg Marshall made early in the first half. Bradley ran off to a quick lead, and WSU starter Aaron Ellis took a poorly advised shot that missed badly. Marshall pulled him out and inserted walkon Mason Felter, who had played in only 1 game all year, and played just 2 minutes of total playing time! The kid played just 7 minutes in the game, and he had 0 points, 1 rebound and a turnover, but it obviouslky was meant to send a message to Ellis and the other Shocker starters.
I don't think I've ever seen a coach make a move like this so early in a game. Ellis, by the way, did not play again in the first half, but did get back into the game in the second half, and scored 1 point.

Stutz had a nice game off the bench (12/7), and Durley, who killed BU in the game at Wichita, had 13/13, plus few big baskets late to bring them back. WSU won the rebounding 33-22, but one huge turnover with around 11 seconds left made a difference.

He kept Stutz on the bench a long time in the second half as well. Stutz kept them somehwhat in the game in the first half

Note the 5th paragraph in the WSU article:
The Braves opened the game in a fury, scoring in nearly every possession en route to building a quick 12-2 lead not even four minutes in. Maniscalco kick started the game with a dunk and a three.

Somehow, I missed Sam Maniscalco's dunk! :)

I bumped the guy next to me just before the tip and said first basket of the game will be a back-door ally-oop slam by CR. :D

Says Nevergonnabesatisfiedwithawin Neil to Everyonesouttogetjimlesparticularlythenegativenellies Ethan. Or something. A win is a win, as far as I'm concerned, but someone could also say that Bradley let go of a huge advantage at home and had to fight hard for a last-second win and be as right as I am. We're all Bradley fans here, let's all enjoy our apparently confirmed 4th or 5th seed status, and then experience what could be a very unlikely miracle in St. Louis. Go Bradley. After this season, a win is a win, even at home.

Good call! Almost every game, Dave gives us the the first play of the game from his detective work, for us watching online, about 10 seconds before the tip. He made the call and the slam went down. It was fun to listen to his call and then see it happen :D

If this game wasn't a microcozim of our season I don't know what other game would be. Nearly perfect execution the first 10 minutes on both ends of the court. A few rushed shots and unforced tournovers the next 10 minutes. The last 20 mniutes was a mixture of all of the above. The difference this time was we were the ones who executed down the stretch. Huge 3's by DSE and AW and the tournover of the game by WSU that Sammy turned into 2 FT's. Great defense on the last possession of the game for the win. I don't think it matters who we play in the 1st round in St. Louis. We know that good BU and bad BU will show up. If good BU shows up we have a chance to win it. If bad BU shows up it'll be a short stay. Can't wait to see how this roller coaster season rolls into St. Louis.

We win Friday....Lose Saturday....but we get into the championship game anyways on Sunday because they know about our rollercoaster season and know we will win sunday going back up to the top of the hill. :-P

I would certainly rather see my team DOMINATE every game then ever see a close exciting game....come on "sports fans"

I don't think it matters much either. What does matter is HOW we play.

that is funny.

hmmm..how did he know who was supposed to answer??

anyway...Wichita State is a good team, is it hard to believe they gave us a good game?
we came out on top, though and outplayed them...

The thing that got them back in the game was their 3-pt shooting...
in the stretch from the start of the 2nd half, until they were within 2 pts, they hit 6-10...and they were well guarded.
If a team can hit like that, they can make up a deficit...so I kinda wish people would stop ragging on our team for the loss of the lead...it was just a good opponent and it'll make us tougher down the road..

Ummm, those 3's weren't guarded by anyone within 3 feet on at least 6 occasions that I went back and counted. they were uncontested in every sense of the word

Our defense was not good in the 2nd half. We slipped back into some old routines and it almost bit us.

However, BU made enough plays to win.
