I knew it would be tough to hang with a big atheletic team for a whole game....with
dc having 3 fouls wwe should try and go big!

maybe we can make a run in the 2nd half
 
Until we rebound defensively, stop turning the ball over and occasionally make a jump shot we are not making any run on this team. We look like deer in the headlights when they went zone. But the defensive rebounding is just horrible.

We just can not keep trying to play with longer taller teams with 4 guards and SS. It will never work. Until JL makes a commitment to play longer and taller and rebound we will never be able to compete with the Florida's of the world.

Shooting is shooting and we dont have a good shooting team but rebounding has been the huge question mark with JL teams and its continuing today.
 
Man that sucked royally lol. I was hopin it would be close but figured a blow out was likely. I wouldn't be so bummed if it wasn't the fact that Les just keeps sticking to his 3 point philosophy. This team is definitely not a 3 point shooting team. Need to hit the lane and get high quality shots with our speed. Half of our shots are 3's and only made 2 of them. Hopefully Les draws up the same halftime plan from last game or else this one may turn into a 35+ point blowout.

I agree....I like the 4 gaurd O' when shots falling.....right now we can't buy a basket....good chance to go big and get some PT for the bigs...might open up the outside shot! I also like us better when EM is on the court!
 
Anyone else wonder why Collins and Singh are the only 2 bigs playing again today? In my opinion Collins is way too soft and gives up a lot more then he contributes. If Egolf and Thompson are that far behind him then it does not say much about those 2 as players.

When will the coach realize that he won't be able to play Sam S. the entire game and be smart enough to get the two guys collecting splinters on the bench into the game....


I would comment on Sam M. but he FINALLY hit a shot to end the half :rolleyes:


We had a really good first 8 min of the game, but yeah, as good as those were, the next two were awful, and the last 10 were even worse than that...

Some of us didn't expect to win, but then again we also didn't expect to just hand over the basketball on a platter the last portion of the half....

The 2-3 is killing us as we don't have a player besides Dodie that can step up a hit a shot...

Will there be a time that coach realizes that we don't have a JC or even an Andrew on the floor and that maybe he should quit trying to run an offense as if they were here?!

The 2nd half will tell how responsive some guys on the team are....those who can fight through this should be the guys playing....

Once again, DC...just looks like a lost soul at this point....

BUT, congrats to Dodie on showing up...and CR getting some boards....maybe someone else can help him on the glass?!
 
Sorry MM....do not care for the CHAT......but I'm starting to dislike Sundays....with the Bears getting blown out by the pack and the Braves getting clocked in the 1st half puts a damper on my weekends! :mrgreen:
 
We've only played 1 bad quarter in essence so far..

(Yes, I know 1 quarter can ruin the game!)

Don't write it off yet! We have a good second half record this season!

(TW just forced a TO and scored.. here we go!)
