I am happy with the W.

BU needed this win in a big way.

I also like that BU actually did make adjustments defensively as well.

BU plays not to lose in the last 4 minutes of the game again and nearly lets another one get away. Will saves BU from certain disaster with two great hustle plays at the end of the game. DSE gets better every time I watch him. Sammy is/was solid tonight. He single handedly kept us in the game making clutch shots with the shot clock running out.

I am happy with the win but I absolutely hate the way BU crawls under a rock at the end of games. ATTACK! PUT TEAMS AWAY!! Have some confidence in yourself and your teammates. (that goes for the coaches too!)

Good win...let's go get Evansville!

My thoughts.....

Great win, finally we ended up on the correct end of an exciting finish. I swear my group is the only group in our section that ever cheers.

Great game Sammy, AW and CR please feel free to show up.

DSE is getting better every game, he has gained a lot of confidence in the last 3 games. Although, I will say, he stepped out of bounds about three times at the wing and it wasn't called.

Crowd was subdued, almost like they expected defeat. Every turnover you would see 2,000 people throw their arms up in disgust and moan and groan. Every Drake rebound was met with the same. Sheesh people, at least wait until something ridiculous happens, like JL calling a timeout with 5 minutes left after a momentum building basket for BU. He must have his reasons, if it makes us better than I say go for it. I just don't understand it.

The drummer for the student band rushes everything. The songs sound poor. Alumni drummer was better.

Listening on the way home, I think Dave Snell is the only broadcaster in the world that can get away with one word questions. "Coach Les is here. Coach.......Sammy." That's a question. He's earned it, I guess, and usually whoever he is talking to takes it from there and goes on and on. Good for him.

Eddren still hurt?

That little #10 was en fuego, then reality set in.

#20 made some circus layups. I still can't figure out how the first one went in.

The game ended an hour ago, but I think Will just picked up another foul on a Drake entry pass.
 
I'm glad Bradley didn't call time out on their last possession! :D

Kinda surprised Drake didn't call one with 1.8 secs left.

CR did play some good defense....Warren is just lost though. I don't get it.

They mismanaged that bad at the end. You have to call one after the 3.

And you definitely call one before the inbounds, throw it to halfcourt, and call another one there. That was the textbook double timeout situation.
 
Finally we win a close one at home , wish coach would quit slowing our offense down with 4 minutes left in the game as we run the shot clock down and get bad shots , it seems some of our players get tight and are afraid to take a big shot, Andrew Warren needs to get back on track as we need him to start playing up to his full potential in order for BU to be more successful down the stretch.Sam Singh did a great job on the boards tonight .

I disagree with us calling a timeout after their 3. A timeout gives them time to set up a better defense. We are tied...work the ball around and the worst case is you go to overtime...got 2 decent looks with one going in for the win!
 
Josh Young is one tough kid- it looked like he lost a tooth on the floor, and continued playing the rest of the game. Young kept Drake in the game in the 2nd half, as Wedel did the first half.

AW seems to have lost confidence in his shot- I hope it returns soon. Sammy, Will, TB, and SS were great tonight, and DSE really played well, too. And Chris Roberts made 3 huge threes that made a difference.

Yea... surprised Young wasn't bleeding profusely. Also surprised he wasn't using a mouthpiece for protection. Later, I believe I saw blood on Roberts shorts.

But seriously - if Young lost a tooth, why wasn't he bleeding badly? Or do quickly jabbed-out teeth not bleed?
 
The blood on Chris' shorts was from a cut on his elbow that happened when he inadvertantly hit Young in the grill. He needed a bandage for that.
Young did bleed a little from his mouth, and went out of the game for a very short time. But he quickly returned and I think he played the rest of the game. The tooth was recovered, and it can be replaced in the tooth socket, and usually reattaches if done within a few hours. I suspect they are seeing a dentist tonight for repairs. He'll need a root canal later to remove the nonviable tooth pulp, but the tooth should be salvageable.

I know one of the drummers and probably the same drummer you know Future. I may be mistaken but over break for the alumni and friends band, wasn't it a couple of drummers just rotating, including the same people that play when school is in session? Maybe it was just a bad night for him.

Sounds like he's got a case of Tyrone Cole-Scott syndrome :lol:, but in all seriousness it's got to all be mental, perhaps he's expecting contact and when it's not there he feels out of balance. I don't know, but it seems like the whole team outside of SM and DSE always has trouble finishing at the rim.
 
Not happy with CR missing the bunnies...but felt that he didn't really press the issue and did hit 3 big shots from behind the arc! And as always played some good D!
