Bradley's 2007 recruiting Class

Is ranked as the BEST in the MVC and #30 best recruiting class in the nation, in D-I basketball.

"Bradley's recruiting class, which also includes 6'4 DeAaron Williams from Illinois Central (JC) IL, 6'10 Anthony Thompson from Houston (Klein Forest) TX, 6'1 Sam Maniscalco from Chicago (St. Patrick) IL, and 6'9 Will Egolf from Juneau (Douglas) AK, is now tied at #30, along with New Mexico State and SMU, on our list of the Top Recruiting Classes To-Date for the Class of 2007. However, even more important, suddenly the Braves have the best recruiting class in the league, ahead of Creighton, Wichita State, Southern Illinois, Indiana State, and Northern Iowa, all of which have recruiting classes that are ranked among the top 120 in the nation."

And this doesn't even take into account Jeremy Fears who is eligible in 2007, and Tyrone Cole-Scott.

No, the ranking for Bradley assumes the inclusion of Buycks, but does not include Cole-Scott.
 
Top 30 recruiting including 2 returning big time starters and decent bench depth. I really like the outlook for the next few years now.

I agree, I can't wait for next season to start.
 
There's no question we'll be talented, but chemistry is going to be very important. With so many 'stars' coming, some are going to have to sacrifice personal accomplishments for the good of the team. Hopefully we'll have guys willing to do that like we did this year.

I'm not worried at all about that, these guy all come in and talk about how they like the family atmosphere at BU. JL lets the leaders lead & you have two returning seniors who have been through the wars with two Jrs (Fears & Brown) who've practiced in the system for a year. I don't see any of the guys coming in as "I" guys, so I doubt chemistry is going to be a problem.

I agree Fears and especially Brown have had time to jell and have been through the wars albiet in street clothes. The three main freshman Egolf, Sam and AT don't worry me as they should understand the role they will be asked to play.

Only ONE guy that I'm concerned about and I'm not even counting on him to suit up.

Everything is relative. Chemistry and sharing the basketball is a huge key to the offense we run. Wichita St had major chemistry problems this year, and it caused a talented group that was off to a phenomenal start to completely collapse in conference season. I don't want BU to suffer the same fate. I don't think they will, but the last time BU had the talent to play 10 deep, it took them half the season to figure out who to play. I don't want that to happen to us either.

Just because I have concerns doesn't mean I am not optimistic about the future. I think you'll find I am about as optimistic about the future of this team and program as anyone on here.

Wichita State had HUGE injury problems. Cousinards shooting hand. Ogirris ankles, and Brauers 2 concussions.

Their problems weren't any worse than BU missing Ruffin for 3 games, JC for a month, or Tauai playing with a broken hand. They had major chemistry problems. Mark Turgeon said it publicly more than once, including in the press conference after their loss to BU.
 
I SOME context I think Fears on the bench really helped BU. Had Fears been able to play right away it could have been tougher for him to buy into what JL was teaching.

Look for DR and JC to be co-capts next year and they will understand that its DR's team.

Fears and RB HAVE to be very hungry. Had BU NOT been successful this year it could have been a tough sell in year two.

With so many freshman next year I just don't forsee problems. USUALLY freshman understand they have to wait their turn.
