Bradley Women's Basketball

This team is a lot of fun to watch also. No they are not the guys but still fun and they can score. It's a very young team led by freshmen and sophomores. Coach Gorski is taking the women to the same level as
Coach Wardle is taking the guys so let's come out and support the ladies also
 
The Bradley women's team is 4-0 after their championship at the Florida Atlantic Tournament, and they play Eastern Illinois (3-1) tonight at the Renaissance Coliseum at 7:00 PM.

Good win for BU women. I think Bradley WBB of the past would have folded after losing that 9 point lead. This team showed a lot of mental toughness and was able to keep their composure in the second half and gut out a win.
 
The Bradley women are playing Oakland University at the Renaissance Coliseum, and leading 54-36 in the 3rd quarter. Freshman Lasha Petree is putting on a shooting clinic. She is 8-17 overall, and 4-6 from three and has a team leading 26 points. She also has 4 steals. Chelsea Brackman, who leads the MVC in rebounding, has 13 rebounds in the 3rd quarter.
 
As you say the women at now 7-0, and the only MVC team that is still undefeated. They are one of only 23 teams, out of 351 Division I women's teams, that is still undefeated.
This is a talented team with a lot of talented freshmen and sophomores. The top scorer is a freshman (Lasha Petree) and the 2nd and 3rd leading scorers are sophomore (Gabi Haack & Nyjah White), so the future, as well as the present, looks good!
 
Here's a story that mentions Lasha Petree's younger sister Mahri, who is currently a high school senior, and is signed to come to Bradley next year.
The story is mainly about a brand new, 14-year old freshman who is on Mahri Petree's team - Mya Petticord, who is one of the top rated high school girls in the nation...
Even before Mya has ever played a single high school game as a freshman, she already holds seven Division I offers!! (one of them is Illinois)
It should be interesting to see how their team, Ypsilanti Arbor Prep, does with two Division I players.

Current Bradley freshman Lasha Petree and high school senior and 2019 Bradley commit Mahri Petree are just 2 of the 3 Petree sisters who are very good basketball players. Older sister Jala graduated last spring in the same class of 2018 as Lasha and all three have played on the same high school (Salem HS and Arbor Prep) and AAU (Michigan Storm) teams for the past 3 years. Jala is a 5'8" point guard and is now a redshirt freshman at Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Michigan, an NAIA school.-

Bradley WBB move to 8-0 with an 81-60 win at Omaha. FR Lasha Petree led the way with 29 points. Bradley had four players in double figures.
 
good job ladies - MVC might as well just put Lasha's name on the Newcomer of the Week Award and ship it permanently to Peoria

This boosts her average to 18.1 ppg, a close 2nd in the MVC
and her 3-pt shooting is now 39.6% - good for the team lead and into the top 5-6 in the MVC
 
Bradley WBB Freshman Lasha Petree sweeps the MVC Player & Newcomer of the Week honors after a 28 point performance in the win at Omaha.

The team travels to play Cleveland State and Purdue on Wednesday & Friday. They wrap up non-con play at home vs. Chicago State on Friday, December 28th.
