Bradley wins 101-81

"Ryan Phillips provided the spark ... by swishing his first 3-pointer as a Brave for a 74-65 lead.
He added a transition dunk on the next possession to launch the Braves on a 15-3 run that broke the game open."

Way to go RP!!

(little known fact...Mrcoachdude and I actually coached RP
for a few games back in grade school, so we'll take a little credit here!)

Then I will have to hold you accountable for the miss in the MVC Tournament... just kidding Way to be a spark Phillips! Roberts, how about that!!! When is the last time a Brave not named Tyrone Cole-Scott scored 30?

The one thing that stands out from the Brazil trip is the Braves will have good scoring balance this season with CR, DD, SM and TB .....couple that with some help from a healthy AW-WE combo and the addition of JP this could be a fun year!

Here's a new bit of info that might be relevant...

"Per NCAA rules, recently departed seniors ...are allowed to accompany the team..
on the trip because they weren't eligible — since they were incoming freshmen —
to travel with the team (on its foreign tour four years earlier
)"

that means if BU goes in four years, according to the NCAA....Prosser, Dyricus, Milos, & Jake can STILL go!!

I also think we need to give credit to Theron Wilson in the developement of Taylor Brown, playing against Theron in practice every day had to help Taylor a lot because Theron was such a tough nosed player. It"s obvious to me that Taylor has been working real hard during the off season to become a better player and he will be fun to watch the next 3 years at BU, only wish we could have Chris Roberts and Dodie Dunson here a lot longer.

Fans will NOT be able to greet the team at the airport.....as the team is flying in to Chicago/O'Hare and bussing to Peoria...

Here's their itnierary in a nutshell........
"4 hr bus ride to Sao Paulo
-3hr layover/
10 hr plane ride to Atl
-clear customs/
fly to Chi/
3hr bus ride!"

That answers my post from a couple weeks ago.....

Also, I always thought the purpose of allowing these trips every four years was to allow all the players to make one trip before they graduate if the school decides to do so. Why would one class not be allowed to make these trips?

I'm starting to really like this Brazil trip, mostly because it is letting us know about the possibility (Not that anyone really thought that TB would not become a stud, but it's nice to see it starting) of us playing 4+ potential 20ppg scorers (SM, AW, CR, TB), and if we get good production out of the 5 spot plus quality DD minutes.., watch out!

Something to remember though is that this tournament had a 24 second shot clock. So they had many more play opportunities per game than here in the US. It at least confirms that we have those scoring options plus Warren and the Freshman when they get back here.
