Bradley in NCAA! 13th seed vs Kansas at Auburn Hills, MI

Nance and Packer are about to stroke out. They keep trying to make the case that since the MVC and Colonial haven't won all that many games in past years, that they don't deserve any bids this year.

What jerks! They just cut off the committee chairman so they could whine!

Congrats froman ISU fan on gettin' in the tourney. i think you guys deserve it. I was thinking maybe an 11 seed, but at least you are in. Now do the Valley proud and beat them Jayhawks!!!!

I know its a tough matchup, but if you guys play your game, I think you can pull it off. Best wishes and congrats

who the **** were those two ******** on cbs in indy... did you see how the totally cut off the ncaa guy & just interrupted him then spit out who bradley & g.mason played?

did they read who the power conf schools played, no?

******* *******, *** **** those ******* ******** were all buddy buddy on top of each other & i bet they dont know what the **** they are even talking about. **** those guys. im so pissed off right now.

Wow, they both seem insulted that the Valley got 4 teams. THey were being pretty rude to the lead of the selection comittee when they had him on! Big thing now is that we have win a couple games so they have to come up with another reason that all the at-large teams have to come from the 'power conferences' I would like to see Nance or Packer talk to some of hte Valley coaches about scheduling and how hard it is to get a team like BU hte chance to play the big schools in a fair series, not just only at their place.

HEY......it just doesn't matter........were in.....tough match-up but sooner or later you have to play someone tough! I feel for MS though........seems like they made an example out of BH for all of his talking up the MVC? I did not expect CU to get in ...........but right now "how about them Braves!"

Good luck to all the Valley teams.......make some noise!

PS.......to packer  ........how can the Valley be compared to teams in the last 5 years of NCAA play when they only get in 1 or 2 teams a year and yet you compare them to the major $$$$$ conf who get 6 or 7 per year in wins during the tourney?     Take a pill!

That's because only BCS schools have tradition and passionate fans. All the other teams in the tournament are just fodder for them, and it is proven every year :x! I guess they weren't watching the same tournament I was when Cleveland State took down Indiana in 1986, or when Kent State knocked out Pittsburgh to advance to the Elite 8 in 2002. How about Idaho State eliminating UCLA in 1977 and advancing to the Elite 8. Northern Iowa beat Missouri in 1991, Bucknell took out Kansas last year, and let's see--UW-Milwaukee made it to the round of 16 last year. Yep, I guess teams like Bradley should just send a fax to Bill Self and tell him that Kansas' tradition and past basketball glory are too much for the Braves to handle, therefore, we forfeit Friday's game, because we just can't compete---NOT!!!!

I was disgusted by Nantz and Packer but no skin off ur backs BU fans you guys are in. I thought you would be a 10 or 11 but Kansas is a winnable game if you play good ball.

I agree that it could be a winnable game. But Bradley has to shake off the tendency to start slow. They need to play well from the start of both halves.

If Bradley wins, they will play the winner of the Pittsburgh-Kent State game. Go KSU!

The key for the Braves will be..........not to get stuck on a # for a long period of time........this is do or die time, no tomorrow if you lose! If the outside shots fail to fall.....take it inside and work back out.........no more fade-away treys! Also having a healthy DR will bode well for the Braves! :D

Very bushleague of those two! As I said on another thread, they probably don't deserve to be fired because of their opinions. But I CAN see them being fired because of their rudeness toward the committee chair, and their unflinching disdain toward "the little people" of Division I basketball! EEWWWW!!! :x They ought to be ashamed of themselves! Not very good "journalism" to say the least!

I think Bradley's biggest problem all year, even during their few losses during their hot streak, is that they get too easily flustered when they fall way behind. They start forcing up "NBA" threes, and they get away from their patent inside style of offense that has helped them get to where they are. Oh, and then they forget how to play defense as well!

IF they are patent, they can hang around and overtake the best of anybody. If not, it could get ugly fast, like it did during that ten minute stretch of the MVC championship game!

Looks like NO respect for the Valley from the selection committee

4 got in... I don't see how that is no respect...

Now if you said no respect from the talking heads on CBs.. who actually talked out of their other ends.. I would agree....

A&M beat Texas

Creighton beat who??

I think most MVC fans didn't have a problem with Creighton not getting in. They had the highest RPI of any of the top 6 MVC schools (39). Creighton had some nice wins, 6 against top 33 RPI schools-- George Mason (RPI 26), Missouri State (RPI 21), Northern Iowa twice (25), Bradley (33), and Wichita State (27).

But Missouri State had an RPI of 21 and was left out. Why bother even having the RPI if the #21 team can be left out. No team has ever been even close to that and been left out. Texas A&M had an RPI of 44. They did beat Texas at home (their only quality win), but how many teams like Texas could Bradley and Missouri State have beaten if those teams would have the guts to play them in Peoria and Springfield, MO?

By the way, Texas A&M's win over Texas was the only win they had all year against any team with an RPI less than 59!

They did not deserve a bid IMO.

why should Big 12 teams visit MVC teams?

shouldn't it be vice versa?

Gonzaga started playing anyone anywhere, then once they earned respect they started getting more teams on better sites (neutrals, home/home's)

Like it or not, it's a BCS conference world, and the MVC simply lives in it

Here is one man's opinion of the selection committee's work. I happen to agree with most of what is said.

http://www.collegehoopsnet.com/Onions/060312a.htm

Looks to me like the committee was concerned about the number of bids per conference. The quality of the teams they put in or out was secondary to the balancing of the conference bids according to their preconceived ranking of the conferences.

Here is another opinion by Gregg Doyel of CBS. He takes the committee to task--
