Bradley game v. Loyola tonight

Just wanted to let everyone know that tonight's broadcast on Insight will be a feed taken from Loyola. This game was added to the package after the fact when we had the opportunity to purchase the feed from Loyola at a reasonable price and Insight cleared Channel 44 space for tonight. I'd encourage everyone to tune in the game, turn down the sound, and turn on Dave and Coach Stowell on WMBD 1470 AM for the "Bradley version" of the game.

Let's hope we can come back from Chicago with a win tonight!

The last time that I tried to turn down the sound on Insight and listen to Dave and Coach there was a 10 second delay. It was unwatchable.

That's correct, except that you can hear Chuck if you tune in to WMBD 1470. Coach Buescher will be doing the radio broadcast with Dave Snell and Joe Stowell.

The TV broadcast will be done by a team from the LPT (Lakeshore Public Television) and they will be Loyola guys.

There wasn't enough time to arrange for the BU crew to do this game, and from what I hear, the LPT people would not allow their video feed to be used with a different audio.

Anybody planning a trip to Loyola tonight? I'm heading down and meeting a few people after work.

Where are any BU fans planning on sitting because its all general admission? Behind our bench?

I'd be at any and all games, except this dam% thing called work just keeps getting in my way. Anyways, if I could make it to Chitown in 90 minutes I would go as I don't get off until 5:30. But for those fortunate enough to be there, be loud and be proud. Go BU.

I think braves12 is planning to attend.....he didn't get his fill of BU hoops in SPI, so he's on the road again! :)

Ohhh Abe ... wish I could join you / babysit your inebriated self once again.

Are you still planning on coming down for Michigan State?

I did leave work at 1:00 PM in peoria this summer, and made it inside Busch Stadium for the first pitch at 3 PM 1 Saturday. That wasn't very smart, but I did make it!

Go BU.

I cannot believe the Braves are only favored by 5. Do the bookies know something that we do not? Do we see the Braves through Rose colored glasses?
Also, The Illini 2 1/2 pt. Dogs.
Personally, I like both The Braves and the Illini at those odds!

Vegas knows that the Braves are a lousy road team.
They know that BU has visited Loyola three times in a row now with the better team, and BU is 0-3 in those games.
They also know that BU was favored over a similarly bad Horizon League team in UIC earlier this year and lost by 9.

All in all, I would say the spread is about right. BU should win, but nothing is certain when a team goes on the road...

Tennessee Tech, Lubbock Christian, any number of times to Evansville, Drake, Indiana State I am sure there are many other examples of where we have a better team and come back to Peoria with a loss.

No matter what anyone thinks this is nothing but a trap game. We just traveled to play two BCS teams, now we go play a team in the middle of the week in a gym that probably will have less then a 1,000 in it and we have Michigan State in less then a week.

I really really hope we learned alot from the UIC game and do not take anything for granted and come out with a huge killer instinct.

Why can I see BU down 15 at the 10 minute mark of the 1st half?

If one listens to me we are down 20 at half. I just never feel any confidence when we go on the road, but then again this season it has to do with how we have been so inconsistant with the basketball and knowing how a team generally has to play or limit the number of errors when it plays on the road. Also, we foul a lot so if we start doing that the officials will pick up on that and murder us with the fouls and a team like Loyola will be able to hang around from the free throw line.

I really hope the second half of the Vandy game team shows up here.

I agree with you to an extent Houston, but not because of history. Simply that winning on the road in college basketball IMO is the single most difficult one-day task in sports.

History does play a role, though, in that many of those teams you are talking about never experienced winning on the road or neutral courts. Many players currently on the roster have won in many different environments, road, neutral, and tournaments. . .

So confidence should not be an issue on the road anymore, detail will be.

Whereas, many of those reference road losses, the team was prepared and focused, but just mentally couldn't close out those games.

Why can I see BU down 15 at the 10 minute mark of the 1st half?

Because Salley usually starts as a 5 and the guards always start slow in terms of long range shooting stroke.

If BU's first 5 shot attempts were more guaranteed close shots by a big (like DC) it may not happen.

Kind of like when we'd start off the game pounding it into POB, and even ZA to a lesser extent?
