Bradley basketball and baseball fans

I have been to a few baseball games each year, and they weren't very well attended. But just like with soccer, if next year's team is as improved and as exciting as it shapes up to be, I have no doubt the fans will come.
 
What do you mean by support? Financially? Attendance-wise? or just follow? I follow most of the Bradley sports but don't attend that often because of distance and work complications.
 
I went to some baseball games when I was at BU and they were pretty good, but I dunno if baseball will ever see a strong following from students for a couple reasons...
1. Home games don't start until the spring semester is almost over and students have finals and projects to finish
2. Games are usually on the weekend, during the day when most students are sleeping or working
3. The field is downtown and there is no shuttle for students, unlike basketball and soccer games
4. It can still be fairly cold out for early April home games

I would think with the Red Pride program and prizes, student attendance is as good as it's going to get, unless they up the prizes for more games attended.

It would be cool if they started the scrimmage games back up with the Peoria Chiefs. I doubt the Chiefs will agree to it since their one 2B broke his leg and was lost for the season, but that was something to look forward to each year.
 
One way of getting the students involved would be to coordinate Spring break with a Florida tournament by the beach where the school helps sponsor the trip for students to go. Then maybe a connection can be built. As students it was tough to feel connected to the team for the reasons Abe listed. I went to a few games and we had some decent teams while I was there.

Probably there needs to be a concerted marketing effort by the athletic department to make a whole sale difference to the students heading out to the games.
