They showed, despite the adversity this team suffered through this year just how tight the Bradley community is, down from the administration, the coaches, down to the players and fans and through everyone else involved with the team. Now we didn't accomplish the type of season people were hoping for, but AW and DD show that no one player, coach or record is bigger than the program and the Bradley community itself. And considering the nonsense that comes out of many other high level Division I programs, it is most refreshing that Bradley produces such stand-up citizens who will be able to contribute well to society for the rest of their lives. I think a lot of people forget this while not looking beyond the win/loss record. I hope people realize, that while we all want the team to play well, there are many other bigger things that await all of us in life.

Kudos to the coaches (especially JL) for getting our boys back on track and feeling good about themselves after the heart-breaking loss on Tues. to the 'Birds. Could have been a serious let down, but after the last 3 losses, the Braves have come back with very good performances...and W's!!!

Very happy about the last 8 games as a whole. Throw that last game out (vs. ISU) and I think you could say we have played very well, and consistently well during that stretch.

AND we've played hard for almost the entire game in our last 8. THAT, to me, is most encouraging! Shows that our guys have a lot of team pride and are willing to improve daily - also shows that guys have bought into Coach's system. And I really doubted that halfway through the Valley season.

I found that to be interesting as well! AW was said to be in full (JL Character) for 5 minutes doing his mannerism along with voice.....would really like to see a tape of that! :D
 
Also want to give Props to JP for another monster dunk last night splitting 2 defenders....keep it up JP! :mrgreen:

It was a fun game for our guys and it was nice to see AW and DD go out in style.

This was a game in which we let our "bigs" play. JP had 30 minutes and WE had 29 minutes. If there ever was a game that proves that we should play our bigs more, this is it:!::!::!:
 
One more significant occurrence- coupled with ISU's loss, Bradley's win drew the Braves out of 10th place and into a 9th place tie.
 
I thought head to head takes over in the case of tie?

In any case good overall game by everyone and an NBA performance by AW. Good to see him and DD go out with career games! That's what this team has been able to do all season.........! Just DO IT!

Tiebreakers only are relevant to seeding for the tournament.
The official results for the conference season will be recorded as a 9th place tie.

I agree! It almost makes me sad to be approaching the end of AW and DD's careers. Two great Braves that represent the university well. I liked AW's comment that people need to lay off JL as well! It's too bad we had bad luck and couldn't give them a great senior year. Although maybe, just maybe, we still can....

Either way at least they had a great senior night!

That was one of the best video streams of the year. It's available on the BradleyBraves.com site to watch again. It's all there from pregame warm-ups, pregame festivities, the game, halftime festivities, post-game festivities and interviews. It's over 3 hours but you can click around :)
 
This game showed why I believe that this team had the talent, even without TB and SM, to still finish about 6th instead of 9th/10th.
 
Nice win by the Braves and good for DD and AW to go out on.

Most teams look good shooting 70% in the second half and makes the rest of the game look better

I"m surprised 5 assists is career high for AW...
 
Where has this team been all season, losing eleven in a row at one point? The way they played last night, maybe the momentum will carry them into the Valley tourney and they can run the table, four wins in four nights. D@MN!! Go Braves!!
