Bracket Buster?

UNI is one game up in the standing, and to be frank, they need the OOC SoS boost more than we do, as far as the computer numbers go. I wouldn't be surprised to see UNI at Nevada for that reason.

Which leaves Hofstra for us. Should be fine. They were touted in the preseason and they should finish strong in the Colonial. And it leaves a solid return game next year. I mean, Hofstra isn't our option A, but it's nothing like the Tennessee Tech debacle last year.

I just hope whoever's doing this resists the obvious George Mason-Bradley connection from last year's tournament and decides the two names paired together would be a ratings bonanza. GMU wouldn't help us nearly as much as Hofstra, even. I got a sneaking feeling they'll do us at GMU and sell it in a primetime slot on ESPN to feature last year's tournament runs.

And to be quite frank: Nevada will beat us. With Hofstra, we have a much better chance to win. The more I think about it, the more Hofstra sounds better. Despite the chance of getting Nevada at Carver next year.
I'm not too sure Nevada would beat us. Fazekas is a ton, but then what? Sessions is a good point guard, but I'm sure ruff can take care of him and the only other one we have to worry about is Kemp. I would love to see us play nevada. The only thing is I don't think the return next year would be that great as Fazekas will be gone and I don't think that they'll be much next year. Plus, with the way we are beating up on each other, I am not sure that we will get a chance to play another ranked opponent this regual season so it would be great to get that game. I guess we'll just have to wait until Monday?

I'm not so sure Nevada would beat us either.

Friend of mine told me he watched the Nevada/New Mexico St game the other day and said they both looked as if neither played much of any defense.
