Bracket Buster official release

I have tickets for the game, so my disappointment about 360 is related to the lack of exposure the braves will get and the limited access to our out of market fan base.

I don't think it is fair to include 360 in the ESPN Bracketbuster televised game category.

If it were an option for TV I could watch it on my TV(via satelite/cable). 360 is only available on the internet. Big deal. Every respectable D-1 conference has games available on the web for a modest subscribtion fee, some are free. Are we supposed to pretend that 360 is a "televised game"?

Feeling a little bit dissed.

I suppose with this 360 bs which is only available on certain IT carriers, this game will not be available via the subscription from Bubraves.com

I guess it will be a Dave and radio team night in the chat room.

Can someone please explain to me why W Mich at Wisc-GB is gonna be on the U???

That means 6 Horizon teams on the tv network as well.

Did I miss something in all the news releases?

Was this a regular scheduled event for these schools to get tv?

HTB any chance we can get it at SRO.

Not sure what you meant.... but this made me think of something.

Let's say Buff Wild Wings has 360 with their internet provider... why not be able to pipe a game onto one of their tv's or big screens?

BUFAN was asking HoustontxBrave (htb) if a local sports bar (he) turned me on to might pickup the telecast. BUFAN is in pearland

Thanks BUFAN. I did figure the htb part out... and was guessing sro was something like a sports bar you both knew.

That's what set off my curiosity about a place displaying an internet fed game on a tv screen. I know it's possible to display an internet feed on a tv - but can a sport bar do it (legal reasons, maybe?), and would they (picture quality - customer complaints in jumps of video feed).

I think there is a mistake... I don't think the Western Michigan-UWGB game is on tv actually.....

STILL - why in the world did they put the Miami-Ohio at Valpo game on the U? Makes no sense at all.... both of those teams are barely .500, not to mention both BU and UWM have had more NCAA success recently. Why did Bradley get the shaft?

Macabre i was told a long time ago, you would be amazed at what is up there in the sky. probably wishful thinking on my part, but its worth a try. Miami and valpo are both pretty good. valpo was america's team for a while. uwm has more national recognition than bu thanks to bruce pearl and joah tucker two people i would love to see get an iceskate in the neck. that said they are probably a lot more upset than we are. a win would make it all feel better

Thanks MMob - but look at the other TV schedule.... it says Marist at Cleveland St. at 6:30pm on ESPNU..... I think that is more accurate.

Still - wow, how did we get picked as one of the 2 games to get the shaft on ESPN360? I mean Marist at Cleveland St.? Cleveland St. is losing by 20 points right now tonight. Valpo isn't very good. Rider at CS-Northridge? Amazing!

I've read the release and I still don't know how you get ESPN360.... sounds like if your ISP doesn't provide it, you don't get it....

Makes perfect sense to me.

Miami of Ohio has an RPI of 72.

Bradley has an RPI of 99

They pretty much determine the match-ups using the RPI, why not use it for the TV games too?

You're right CPac about the RPI being a tool to determine matchups and TV games.

But I also think ESPN tries to show teams that could "bust the bracket". IMO, that means... a middle level team in a conference with a good RPI doesn't get preference over a team likely to win their Conf and get the automatic by winning their tourney. ESPN wants to take credit of a team in the 125 RPI range getting covered on BracketBuster day if they win their Conference/Conference Tourney and scare someone in the NCAA tourney (or maybe even win).

With that all said... then I guess ESPN thinks Vandy/Mia-Oh have a better chance of winning their automatic bid than Bradley/Wisc-Mil.... and being more of a scare in the NCAA tourney.

I think you guys are both somewhat right CPAC and MMob - but Rider and CS-Northridge are both 100+ RPI teams...... plus, don't have much basketball history.... UWM and BU have a lot more basketball and tournament success. No 2 ways about this... BU got the shaft....
