By looking at the year to date stats there are players on this team that have twice as many turnovers as they do assits. Im no math major but i would hope someone could calulate what the ratio is for this club. for a guard heavy team we have way too many turnovers.

148 turnovers 150 assist

There are five players with as many assists as turnovers....

Maniscalco, Ruffin, Crouch, Wilson, and Singh

I will begin tracking the top AST/TO guys in the Production Per 40 Minutes thread.

As your thread develops... any chance we can see production on the Season and something like Last 5 Games? I just think as players develop and mature over the course of the season it would be interesting to see how their stats change.

Daniel Ruffin already has 58 assists this season, way, way ahead of the guy who is presently
the 2nd leading assists man in the Valley, Drake's Adam Emmenecker with 34.

With his 58 assists, DRuff now has 533 for his career, and at this same pace would end his career around 730- 750.
That would put DRuff into the tops among all Valley players.
Anthony Manuel has 855 for his career with BU, and Jim Les has 696 with BU (and 884 overall).

Here are some other NCAA D-I records for assists...

Career Record...1076 Bobby Hurley (Duke - 1990-1993, 140 games)
Season Record ...406 Mark Wade (UNLV - 1987)
Single Game Record....22 Tony Fairley, Avery Johnson, Sherman Douglas
Anthony Manuel had 21 assists for the 4th best single game ever on 12/19/87 vs. UC-Irvine
Best Single Season Avg....13.3 Sherman Douglas

Best Season Assist Totals:
406 - Mark Wade, 1987
399 - Avery Johnson, 1988
373 - Anthony Manuel, 1988
(nobody since 1993 is even in the Top 12!)

Best Season Assist Average:
13.30 - Avery Johnson, 1988
12.03 - Anthony Manuel, 1988
10.74 - Avery Johnson, 1987

Best Season Assist Average ever by a Junior:
Anthony Manuel, 12.03, 1988

Best NCAA D-I Career Totals:
Jim Les is 15th best ever with 884
Anthony Manuel is 19th best ever with 855

Some individuals by virtue of their position are going to have more TO's than assists.

As a team, realistically you want to have a 1.000 ratio. Teams above 1.0 are successful, teams below 1.0 are not.

Great idea....I can probably work that out!
