Arch Madness games

This looks like it happened well after the game ended (see image below). The crowd is sparse, and all the players, team officials, bands, and media people have left.

Speaking of times, According to the box scores, the Bradley game started at 6:00 pm and ended at 8:45 pm, and the UNI-ISU game started at 9:30 pm and ended at 11:32 pm. Attendance for the session (Session 3) was 8,897.

UNI-ISU Box Score- https://mvc-sports.com/documents/2026/3/6//ILS_UNI_Game_Book.pdf?id=5360
For the record, attendance for Session 1 was listed as 8,960, and for Session 2 it was 8,068. Those number are probably tickets sold and not actual butts in the seats.

Here's video of the ISU fan handcuffed & being escorted from the arena
Anyone know the whole story?

One more thing- ISU coach Ryan Pedon has never won a game in the MVC Tourney. He is 0-4 in St. Louis.
But you know who DOES HAVE a win in St. Louis for ISU? Bradley assistant coach Brian Jones...
who took over in 2022 for Dan Muller and coached 7 games at the end of the 2021-22 season in Muller's absence.

If you read down the thread on this Reddit message board, there are comments, apparently from other ISU fans, like-
"The fan was not fighting or saying anything bad. They were defending the players and coach from others' comments."
"Saw on twitter at least 4 ISU fans were kicked out for heckling the refs, was this not a part of that?"

"Im not saying it didn't happen because I don't know. I did hear that there were a few fans yelling and booing and then some fans yelled back to get them to stop and not be rude and it went back and forth and resulted in the fan in cuffs."

One comment- There were a few ISU fans seated behind us at the Bradley-Valpo game. As the game dragged on, they seemed to more and more vulgar and obnoxious. I wonder why? 🍻🍺🍻🍺
They were cheering loudly for Valparaiso, and spewing vile comments directed at Bradley players, the coach, and Bradley fans. It was quite delightful to see them deflated when Bradley pulled away in the 2nd overtime and sealed the win. I imagine they were even more drunk and pi$$ed off a few hours later when ISU's thorough butt-kicking was finally over. It is not hard to find a lot of negative comments by ISU fans on social media directed toward their own players and head coach.

According to other comments I am seeing on X.com, there were 3 or 4 other ISU fans who were ejected earlier from the arena during the game for continuously harassing the officials. Because of course, when you lose by 22 points to a lower seeded team, it must surely be the officials' fault. 🙄

UIC is wearing their alternate cream color uniforms, and Drake will be in their dark blue uniforms.
Drake has 40-50 fans here, while UIC has no more than 20 so far. There are already more Bradley fans here than both the two teams playing at 2:30 combined.

Drake playing poorly. They are 2-10 so far, with 5 turnovers, and Jalen Quinn is 0-5. UIC leads 13-6 with 12:30 left in 1st half.

UIC pulls away and wins by 21 points.
Final score- UIC 72 Drake 51- https://stats.statbroadcast.com/mobile/?id=652084

Jalen Quinn had an off-game, and nobody else on Drake stepped up. UIC looked very good and appeared to be easily able to break down whatever defense Drake tried. By late in the 2nd half, Quinn and a couple other Drake players were flinging up low percentage shots and hanging their heads when they missed.
If UIC plays this well Sunday, they will be hard to beat.

Drake ran out of steam in the second half as the UIC Flames has made it to their first MVC championship game beating the Bulldogs 72-51. Congrats to their program

Both teams won at the others place during the regular season. Both teams have played well in St Louis but UIC has swag about them. It’s been ten years since UNI had been to the big dance while it’s been since 2002 for the Flames. Probably the smallest crowd for a championship game in St Louis for some time. Just hope for a good competitive game.

Someone told me that in the 50 years of the MVC tourney being held, Bradley has only won it five times and three of those were in the 1980s. That doesn’t sound right or very good.

UNI off to another hot start as they are 6-8 overall leading UIC 16-7 with 14:56 left. All 6 players for UNI who have played have scored
