Arch Madness 2023

ISU put up a game effort but ended up losing to UNI 75-62. ISU was down by as much as 20 in the 2nd half but was able to cut it down to 6 points with 8:40 to go in the game. UNI didn’t score for 3 1/2 minutes but ISU committed 4 straight turnovers and had a missed 3 in about the same timeframe. UNI finally started to make a few shots and pulled away. Bowen Born led the way for UNI with 23 points and 5 assists, Michael Duax had 19 and Tytan Anderson had 14. For ISU Seneca Knight had 19 points and Kendall Lewis had 18 points and 10 rebounds. ISU shot 23-55 overall, 7-21 from 3 while UNI shot 27-58 overall, 9-28 from 3.
 
SIU really struggling to score in the first half against Drake. SIU's Lance Jones hit threes on SIU's first 2 possessions, and those are the only 6 points scored in the first 15 minutes by SIU's 5 starters. Domask, Rupert. Johnson, and Newton were scoreless. Meanwhile, Drake is 11-20, and 6-9 from three, and Drake has a 33-17 lead with 3:37 left in the first half.

SIU trailed by 16 points at halftime, 39-23. But they made a nice comeback early in the 2nd half outscoring Drake 17-4 to get within 3 points, 43-40. But then Drake woke up and scored 15 of the next 17 points to expand their lead to 58-42. From there, Drake coasted to a 65-51 win.
