Andrew's other offers came from Ohio, Illinois-Chicago, and Loyola. But Andrew verbally committed very early (Oct. 1, 2005), then signed in November, 2005, before his senior season.

I have heard he got some interest from higher level schools in 2006, but never softened on his committment to Bradley.

So let me get this straight....

AW verbally committed in 10/05, then signed in 11/05.

THEN....

A Big East and a Big12 school went after him AFTER he had SIGNED.

I thought Illinois was the only DivI school to have a verbal committment from a player that was not respected by other DivI coaches to back off.

Oh wait - the Illini recruit was a verbal... AW was only a SIGNED recruit.

Patrick O'Bryant also signed early with Bradley, but before the end of his senior season he had feelers from Illinois and Minnesota. A lot of recruiters do this. They get messages indirectly (sometimes through former AAU teammates or coaches, etc) to the player just to test how solid their committment is. It doesn't violate any rules.

Do yourself a favor and get on over.........watch AW play and see what the staff has done since last season .....losing 67% of the scoring from the SWEET 16 team and revamping the O' to match the player's we have! I think the Braves are still ranked nat'l 1 or 2 in 3 pt shooting......and I have to admit..I have started likeing it better than a dunk :-o ........they have 204 makes this season already and the all-time school record is 224.......so avg 11 a game , it should fall in a couple more games! 8)

Yeah the 3 point shooting is impressive its been mention several times on ESPN. I've tried to make it there a couple times now but school works keeps getting in the way. I guess I'll just have to settle for my 13-4 (4-1 in the Big 10) Hoosiers right now.  The Hilltop certainly sounds like something I want to experience as a bball fan.

Yea -- and to get the fullest experience, don some Bradley red and get yourself a ticket in the student section. Most of them follow the entire game and spend a good chunk of the time on their feet.
