A few more results from former Braves/Chris Roberts/Zach Andrews

Ed Cage had 17 pts, 7 rebs last night

Osiris Eldridge made his debut with his new French team, Boulazac...and it wasn't pretty...
In his first game in the top French pro league, Osiris Eldridge started and was 2-8 with 0-4 from beyond the arc...only 5 pts, 2 reb...and his entire team scored only 56 pts and lost 76-56.

Cellus with a solid game leads Nancy to a 58-45 win

Boulazac loses again - Osiris goes 1-7 and misses all three 3-pt attempts - he's now 3-15 on the year and 0-7 from the arc.

Tabare wins 101-95, Ed Cage 15 pts, 6 rebs

Trouville loses 102-85 but Carlton Fay has a great game 23 pts, 5 rebs, 3 asst

...btw - Will Franklin is coming off a surgical reconstruction of a very severe ACL rupture...he is kinda right now where Derrick Rose is and yet he's already playing and should continue to get even better! Good job Will, one of my favorite BU Braves - especially hitting that 45 footer dagger vs. Kansas!!!!

Will is also getting pleanty of sympathy in Romania...

I thought this was funny - but it has little to do with our BU players in Europe...

But - an ex-Memphis player who went over to play in Italy the past year - has a few funny comments about his experiences there...

"Chris Douglas-Roberts talks again on his Italian experience

...with the lockout..I just wanted to go play hoops, even if it was in Italy.
I turned down more money in other countries so it wasn't about that.

I had no clue what I was getting myself into. Living conditions were not good at all.
The apartment was extremely small; nobody spoke English. We didn't have any hot water
We were taking six hour busses to the games, with no food on the bus.
On the road, you have a roommate on two twin beds and I'm 6-7, so my legs are hanging off the bed and it's hard to sleep.

... not being particularly fond of former NBA players....they didn't love me.
It was hard getting any fouls called.

..we ate pasta every day. EVERY day. That's what it is over there. Pasta with grilled chicken.
I was like, 'Man, you don't have alfredo sauce? The white sauce?' They're looking at me like I'm crazy.
So one of my teammates, Pepe, an Italian, said American pasta is like Finnish rap music.
.. They destroy our American pasta. 'You all don't have real pasta,' they say. .
They like the mainstream classic rap over there, and they aren't into the gangster rap lyrics."

Here's another interesting story out of the Euro leagues....

ex-Xavier forward/SG Romain Sato was arrested and detained for trying to travel with a forged passport..
This is of course quite a puzzle as Sato has been playing and traveling in Europe for some time and it's never come up and the Turkish officials are saying that this is unjust and a political move the part of the Slovenians.

Andrew Warren had a fine game but his team lost - hit a couple 3-pointers and netted 12 pts...
