In a game just completed on Saturday evening in Australia...
Andrew lead his Cairns Taipans to a nice win over Melbourne 79-77...
knocking Melbourne out of 3rd place and taking over their spot...now just 2 games out of 1st place...
Andrew had 16 pts, 7 rebs ...

Cairns has been a laughingstock over the past few years, and have not been very solid and were not expected to compete for this year's league title..
but Andrew and teammates are proving everyone wrong.

In a poll of which team has the "BEST Import Lineup"
thus far the Taipans are leading the poll by a wide margin getting 30.8% (2883 votes) of the vote...
showing a lot of widespread respect and admiration for what Andrew has brought to his team!!

YOU can vote for Andrew by clicking on "Cairns Taipans - Warren and Wilson" in the poll that's along the right margin of this page..."NBL Fan Poll"

Cellus had a great game last night - 11 pts, 13 rebounds to help his team win over Roanne 70-67 as Le Mans moves to 7-3 and a game out of 1st place

Chris Roberts had a another good game, 6-9 and 3-4 from 3pt, 16 pts, 3 reb, 4 asst, a block and a steal!

Hlaifax wins again 97-83 over Quebec, Boogie playing well and has his team at 6-4 just one loss out of 1st place in the loss column

Zach Andrews' LA D-Fenders lose as Zach misses the game while at tryouts for the LA Lakers! Zach's teammate Brandon Costner went for 42 pts.

Osiris Eldridge had a highlight dunk - here it is...a 360 dunk at 1:12 of this video - OE's #17
http://www.nba.com/dleague/video/2011/12/11/highlightstexbak121011flv-1931653/index.html

Osiris went for 26 in the game and raises his average to 16.2 ppg

Zach's preseason starts with the Lakers tonight - since he's kinda new I suspect he won't get a ton of PT - but probably some in the 2nd half..
Of the 4 current MVC players in the NBA, 2 are Bradley guys (Zach, AP)...and two are Bluejays (Korver, Tolliver)

Chris Roberts is now in uniform for the Texas Legends and will begin playing for them in the NBDL

In France - Cellus' team, Le Mans is doing well at 8-3, half game out of 1st
Cellus averaging 13.2 ppg, 7.7 rpg

POB is averaging 10 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 bpg for Kavala in Greece

Eddie Cage out with an ankle injury is averaging 10 ppg, 5 rpg in Spain

Yuba College has run their record to 15-3 - the most wins of any juco in California and inside the Top 10...they won the Santa Rosa Tourney this past weekend.

Chris Roberts made his debut last night with his Texas Legends...
They sure needed him as the Legends were struggling at 2-8...but Chris came through!

Chris came off the bench as was 7-13 including 3-6 from 3-pt range, and scored 17 with 5 rebs, a block & a steal to lead the Legends over the 8-4 LA D-Fenders - who are themselves now struggling without Zach Andrews!

The Legends drew a remarkable 3643 attendance - better than what most D-I teams draw!!

Somehow glanced right over this thread when I linked the story in the Shayok Top Plays thread. Should never have doubted anyone here would not have beaten me to the news. :)

Andrew has a nice game in Australia early this morning - 20 pts, 3 asst but Cairns did not have their team leader & captain Jamar Wilson - injury and lost..

Last night Halfax beat Quebec and Lawrence Wright's team ties for 1st place as Boogie gets 11 pts, 3 rebs

In the D-League - Chris Roberts has an absolutely AWESOME game again --
going 11-14 from the field, and 5-6 from 3pt range scoring 31 pts, 2 rebs, 4 asst, and 3 steals...
Lots of CRob highlights...but Zach Andrews is not yet back playing for the D-Fenders

Zach Andrews had one of the best all-around games this season thus far in the NBDL last night...
Zach had 16 points and 15 rebounds and carried his team to a 102-101 win over Reno ..and the league's best scorer Blake Ahearn

also last night Boogie Wright had a fine game of 17 pts, 8 rebounds (both were team bests) for his Halifax Rainmen

Patrick O'Bryant continues to lead the entire Greek top pro league in blocks per game at nearly 2 bpg..

Adrew Warren was star of the game as his Taipans edged the Hawks 61-59 in a defensive battle..
AW had 17 & 4 rebs - 2 stl & a block and nailed a couple clutch FTs

Chris Roberts had another good game last night - 13 pts, 9 rebs, 3 asst, 2 steals!

Zach Andrews also had a GOOD game last night - 14 pts, 10 rebs

In the NBL (Canadian pro league) - Lawrence Wright moves in to 3rd place in the scoring race overall with 17.94 ppg
